Usually I need the largest size in these caps, but the 7 7/8 was too big. Ordered the 7 5/8 and it fit perfectly! I’ve been wearing caps like this since I was in the 9th grade, and was very happy to find this one at such a good price!

The hat that I purchased from Amazon is reminisced of the type and kind that was ported by me in the 1960s in West Philadelphia neighborhood of walnut hill/spruce hill.

Having picked one of these up for a Summer holiday last year, I came back looking for a black one this time. My 2021 brown model is still going strong, though. I am very much a hat wearer, and never leave the house without one on my at any time of year. In the Summer, I vary between one of my half dozen straw hats and any of my eight or ten Summer weight caps. I have hats and caps that cost anywhere from a tenner to well over a hundred new. For what it is- a basic, cotton cap - this holds its own with the best of them. the cotton from which it is made is a good, sturdy weight. Not what I'd call "lightweight" (hence the 4/5 stars there), BUT that is by no means a bad thing. I wear my hats a lot and for years - this is not, despite the low price, a "disposable" fashion / holiday buy - and this is durable enough that it will take that. It is, however, ideal for heat. The cotton is thick but breathable, helping to keep the worst of the Sun off the head, but not too hot underneath. In this it is helped by being unlined; instead, the seams are neatly taped (lengths of cotton stitched over them to keep it all neat and tidy' this is also often called a "skeleton lining"). Best of all, it has a great body and shape. I dress "vintage" - on any given day, my look will be somewhere from 1929ish to 1959ish. Unlike many modern interpretations of a cap, these have a nice volume to them. enough body to cover your ears from the sun and/or drape nicely over one side. All too many caps at this price are tiny, with a stretched, duck-bill look, more like peaked skullcaps than anything. This looks *right* with a period look. Think proper, button braces and trouser waistbands on your actual waist - not on your crotch and skinny, clip-on braces. Small Heath, not Hoxton! Good range of colours, too. I have both brown and black currently, but I have my eye on more. Highly recommended at this price.

This blue bakers boy hat size 8 is a comfortable fit. Other hats I have are 63 cm and 7 3/4 English fit snugly. Variation In makers sizes are a bind . 100 % cotton, shower resistance possible. Could wear all day ! Love it!

size's not very clear, I always get M size, but the small size offered happened to be far to big .

This was supposed to be XL.. 7 7/8.. it’s tiny, I doubt it would fit a child’s head. Very disappointing as the quality looked good.
