Doesn't bother fish. Doesn't really seem to work that great.
I always keep this in hand with melafix. I never have any problem with it hurting my fish, plants or the million snails I recently inherited on some new plants I bought. So far for me it just doesn't seem to do anything noticable.I have only had one time that this along with melafix actually heeled a wound.I hate using actual chemicals on my fish so I always seem to try this first. I usually end up treating them in a bath separately. It has its advantages that it doesn't cause she's or make my fish unhappy and disadvantages that I can't seem to get it to work. User error maybe but I've had my Koi/Goldfish for over 23 years and have been very successful with other medications.I'm sure probably the combination of pimaflex and melafix together is doing a better job than alone.I'm also irritated that everytime I receive this the inside seal is never intact. Which causes it to leak out some by the time do I receive it. This is not a one-time thing. Sometimes it's in a bag sealed and leaks. It has nothing to do with how the product is shipped. It's the actual product seal under the lid.

Caution! Will kill fish with gill issues.
This product killed my 8 year old goldfish. My goldfish had an unknown gill issue and when this product was introduced into the water it was enough to make oxygen absorption low enough to kill the poor guy. I wasn't aware of any issues with the fish until after an inspection when the fish died. There are other fish in the tank that have no issues with the treatment and I am still continuing to dose the 100 gallon tank. I personally would keep an extremely close eye on your fish while treating them and remove them from the treated water immediately if you see any signs of stress. This would be a higher rating but there is no cautionary statements on the bottle regarding this issue.

Leaking Bottleāand Not Sure if It Actually Works for Pond Fish
Opened the box. The bottleāwhich came packaged with another product (I ordered both Pimafix and Melafix)āwas in a plastic bag. "Odd," I thought. Until I opened the bag. An eighth or so of the bottle contents had leaked out. Hence the bag. Whoever packaged it must have known and tried to compensate for it. It's still leaking. Disappointing.More significantly, I can't actually determine if this works. I have a sick pond fish (not a koi) and have been using the product for five days now. Yeah, I know, I'm supposed to use it for seven days, but it's obvious the fish isn't getting better. In fact, it seems sicker. (I had similar experiences in the past, which has me wondering why I ordered this product again in the first place. Face palm.) Gave the little fella an emergency salt bath and added extra salt to the pond environment is general. Hopefully, that'll work. Not sure I can recommend this (two stars isn't much of a recommendation anyway). Will try another product next time. Do a comparison.I hope youāand your fishāhave better luck than I've had.

Worked well
One of my pond fish developed some sort of fungus over the winter, so I didn't notice until it started getting warm. It was so bad that I really didn't think he'd make it. At first I thought it was a parasite, but when a salt bath and Melafix didn't help I figured it was likely a fungus and decided to try Pimafix. Noticed some improvement after three or four days and the fungus was gone by the time we finished the bottle. I know not everyone has had such a good experience, but I'd definitely give it a shot if you don't know what else to try.
