Two options: 1. Insert the DVD this usually opens either the disc file system or the prompt to auto play. 2. Use a port hub. Third party usb C port hub and connect only via usb C 3.0 this works for me. Depending on your configuration you may need to permit the drive to read and execute in your security settings also. OS Ventura seems to recognise it directly plugged into the mac first time as soon as a disc is inserted.

Unlikely. You can try it but I would suspect not. Portable drives like these do not have sufficient stabilisers for a bumpy car journey. Furthermore most cars lack an adequate operating system / firmware to be able to utilise such drives which are optimised for Linux windows and macOS operating systems. This is the same reason it’s unlikely to work on a smart phone. Cars generally don’t run computer style operating systems on their infotainment systems.

But it is multi regional it comes as region 1 by default it is very simple one click to change region. Insert the disc and it will auto detect the region and ask if you want to swap region - click yes and it’s changed.
