It does actually work - it lifts!
I have a prolapsed uterus which actually protrudes quite a bit so my comments are based on what has helped with this, and these ‘Vulvar Varicosity Briefs’ really have helped.Basically, they are a firm stretchy fabric with a sewn-in, X-shaped reinforcement stretching between the legs with a very slightly thickened central section which stays fairly flat so that it lifts and levels the protrusion – and it really works!I’m 5’2” tall, 42” round the widest part of my hips and gambled on a medium which actually is a good fit on me. They have an adjustable drawstring at the waist which I didn’t even notice when I first wore them and think I’ll probably take out as not needed. When I put them on I pull them up above the curve of my hips (making them very slightly higher at the back/lower at the front). They stay there and are firm but perfectly comfortable, and I wear them over normal knickers so they don’t need to be washed every time. A side effect is that they give a slight degree of support to my stomach which has become increasingly saggy since turning 65.(I also tried a belt type support with a Y-shaped central section going between the legs. It was useless as the central section just molded itself around my protruding uterus and didn’t lift it at all. Also the actual belt was very bulky – although that might not have mattered if it had actually worked.)

Lifesaver!
These were recommended to me by a couple of ladies on a prolapse forum. I’d never heard of them but was desperately uncomfortable so decided to give them a try. They have helped me beyond words! They have a compression band built in which provides upwards support which is a huge help. I can’t manage without them now.

Too expensive
Whilst very comfortable this item is overpriced and doesn't really provide the support as described

Helps with support
I only wear them if I have to be out a few hours and they do support my prolapse and the pressure it creates.I don’t wear them in my home it would be to uncomfortable all day. They are expensive but do help

Prolapse support that works
I am waiting for a prolapse repair operation and although this item isn’t perfect it’s the best I have found so far to keep my prolapse more or less inside my body. I wore it to a wedding with another pair of knickers next to my skin and although bulky it did do the job.My main complaint is that the knickers are too short sitting on my hips rather than on my waist I’m not particularly overweight but because they are tight and too short they cause a muffin top effect fortunately this didn’t show in the dress I wore to the wedding
