I ordered this for my SIL's birthday next week, thinking that I could put the scarf in a pretty gift bag or wrap it in a gift box. Had no idea it would arrive vacuum sealed with instructions to hand wash it to fluff it and make it thicker. Okay, I'm all for being environmentally friendly, and if this were for myself, no problem. But, as a gift...kind of awkward. I'm not going to put the vacuum sealed package inside of a gift bag, and I'm not going to give her the scarf all thin and wrinkly (although the colors are beautiful.) So, I will be hand washing this gift and air drying it before wrapping and presenting. BTW, I double checked the item on Amazon, and it clearly states "machine washable," but I'm not taking any chances.Probably my last purchase from this company.
