I purchased the Aceland 1200 Lumen LED Work Light Sep 2018 to replace an old-timey Edison-bulb work light whose bulb died every time it dropped. It was very bright and conveniently mounted with swivel hook and strong magnet. After 5 years and some months it gave me an electrical "pop" and went dark. I took it apart to find the problem. The IC had blown its top - perhaps a short somewhere on the PCB. I was surprised in a good way to see the insides unusually well constructed - not your typical cheap piece of plastic! I have now (Dec 2023) replaced that light, which is now 1600 lumens and - wait for it - LESS expensive! Nothing lasts anymore so I'm not picking on Aceland for only lasting 5 years.

good quality, I have been looking for a good LED work light..did a lot of reading. It lights up my work area very well. would be nicer if the cord was at least 10 feet. the magnet is strong enough to hold the light but not too strong, where you have to fight it off the car. Unfortunately I dropped the light right on the plastic hanger on the 2nd use and it broke, I am attempting to get a replacement hook but doubt i will have much luck the manufacturer...will keep you posted if they help me out. UPDATE: I was able to contact the manufacturer about the broken hanger (that was my fault), they immediately shipped me a FREE hanger from China, I got it in about 2 weeks! Light is good as new! Beyond awesome customer service!

I needed a new LED lamp to replace my old one, which had a clear plastic cover and was used mainly for car repairs and attic insulation maintenance. Over time, the plastic cover became soft, cracked, and eventually broke. I was drawn to this new lamp because its LED light screen is flush against the light element, reducing the chance of cracking or becoming loose. The electrical cord is sturdy and has extra length in case there's no outlet nearby. The light produced is bright and emits very little heat. The built-in hook was especially helpful for hands-free work on adjacent surfaces, making my job more efficient.

The one good thing (probably the most important): It is bright, BUT it could be THE PERFECT light if... 1) The body could rotate. Why? Depending where it is placed due to magnet, it can be a little hard to get the right light angle you want. 2) The magnet was a little bigger and stronger. Magnet not strong enough to get through the hook foam layer. The only place I could place it was by the top of the hood where it locking hook is (only exposed metal on the hood). So, since there is no rotation (see #1), I couldn't get the perfect angle. 3) The magnet was stronger so the wire cable would not weight down the light and detach from hood. I had to arrange the wire on top of the hood in a certain angle so it would not weight down on the light. If the wire was hanging, any slight touch on the wire, the light would detach. 4) The hook on top of the light seems very cheap, plastic material. I can see that breaking easily after some rough movement, pull, or twist. If it was metal covered with rubber, it would be perfect.

I had high hopes for this item. It seemed to be the perfect work light and I liked the extra amenities. However, upon receiving the item and turned it on the light flickered horribly. I mean give you a migraine if you looked at it. I left it on hoping this was just a warm up problem, but the flickering never stopped. I tried multiple times to turn it off and on and still flickered. I gave up and returned the item. I think the concept of this item was well thought out, but good intentions mean nothing when the basic component, the light, doesn't function properly. Back to the search for a work light. Update... The seller saw my review and just sent me a new light the new one works perfectly. Strong steady light without any flicker. I love it!! Great light that's very bright. I would totally recommend this light.

It's so BRIGHT it is unusable. It's also very hot! Looking for a way to add a dimmer to the circuit

magnet is too weak to hold up the light , to big and clumsy to work with !
