I bought this camera kit to put on my Motorhome. Installation was quite straightforward and simple. Fitted in a few hours with time taken mainly on wiring through the motorhome. I am very pleased with this reversing camera and monitor set and choice of cable length.. The instructions for use and installation are excellent. The camera is made of metal and very strong and robust with the added advantage of being fully waterproof. The monitor comes with 2 different mounting methods giving scope for positioning in the cab. The monitor is easy to operate and facilitates recording once an SD card has been inserted. Picture quality is superb and I love the added bonus of being able to mirror the picture as required. Overall, this camera kit is first class and beats anything else I have tried hands down. Of course being fixed wire it is far more reliable and constant than any wireless setup. I highly recommend this equipment to anyone who wants a high quality set up.

I've just fit this camera and I got to say it was really easy. They give you a 20m cable so you can put the camera exactly where you want it, and the connections on the cable are great they have screw locks so no mater how much the cable is pulled it won't pop out. The over all build quality is super, the fact it can record and you can get a front camera as well makes it basically a dash cam as well. Super impressed, recommended it to my roommates for there cars

I've been giving this a thorough test on the bench prior to installing it. Very impressed by the quality of the items in the kit. The camera seems very robust and solid, it came nicely packaged with all the connectors and cables needed. The monitor has 'capacitive' buttons which seem responsive and easy to operate and the DVR function is a real bonus. It records both channels in AVI format. It would have been nice had it recorded in compressed format (MP4, MKV, etc) as it needs quite a big SD card to store recordings (16GB will store approx 34 mins), but it's still handy as most competitor's products don't record at all. Compared to a previous product that I'd tried (and returned due to numerous technical problems) this camera kit is night and day (pun intended). The picture quality is very good. Overall, very satisfied.Edit : I've just recieved the 'free' backup/truck camera that the seller sent. Interestingly, it's picture quality is marginally better than the camera that comes with the kit, although it uses white LED lights to illuminate objects when it's dark. This is fine for front-facing applications, but no good for rear as it's illegal here to have white lights showing at the rear of vehicles except when reversing. Anyway, it was 'free', so how could one complain.

Easy to install, much better than I had first expected, good value for money, would definitely recommend.

There are so many to choose from however, I wanted one to fit to a cargo van I'm converting to a camper and this fitted the brief exactly, in the box is everything you need including 20m of cable and all the fittings you need and its easy to fit with a couple of options in the box to install the 7" monitor for windscreen or dashboard which is brilliant, it will give me chance to see which works best, the camera feels a solid bit of kit, I mounted this above the taillight on the roof and gives a great view of anything behind you. I chose to plug into the 12volt socket in the cab which gets everything working straight away, I was really impressed with clarity of the monitor its very easy to navigate the menu, the view it gives is excellent . Highly recommended

Really pleased with the product, the picture quality is great, and the screen is just the right size to both see clearly and not become a distraction. The camera is very well made and feels incredibly solid. comes with all the parts required to install; plenty of cable!. Decided to attach it to the rear high level brake light as I wanted to avoid making holes in the bodywork. Has a nice beach scene when it powers on!

I fitted the reversing camera to my 7 m motorhome, mounting it high at the back and leaving it on all the time while driving. So easy to set up...biggest problem was getting the wire along the van.Attached the monitor to my rearview mirror with cable ties...works for me! Very happy with the quality of the equipment and the picture.Replaced a wireless setup which had stopped working...the wired setup is so much more stable!Haven't bothered with recording facility yet. Look forward to receiving the extra small camera which I plan to mount at numberplate level for even safer reversing!

I was looking for a wired backup camera system that I could use in my car, but all the monitors for cars seemed too small at 4.3 inches. Then I saw this great wired system and I really liked the thought of 1080p. The challenge for me was where to mount the 7 inch monitor. I came up with the idea to hang it from the air vents using picture hanger hooks. This works great for me. The screen is centrally located and very visible. It does not block my view of the windshield either. I am also very impressed with the quality of the 1080p picture. In addition the camera is also made of metal and has a quality feel to it. Currently I am using the cigarette lighter to power the system but I may power it by the fuse box in the future. The install was very fast and painless. I tested the system as soon as it arrived and I was very excited to see the quality of the hardware for the money I paid. I am very happy with my purchase!! It was money well spent.

I need a camera that can keep monitoring the rear. I have installed several other wireless surveillance cameras, but I am not very satisfied. The main reason is the signal delay and signal instability issues. So I bought this camera with wire transmission as a try. I installed the camera probe on the roof of the SUV so that I can see a wider rangeThe installation is very easy. I directly lead cable (power and video signal are integrated in one cable) into the car through the gap between the tailgate, and then bury the cable under the carpet and pull it to the center console. The 7” monitor is directly fixed on the center console with a magnetic suction cup.The whole installation takes about an hour. After installation and power it on, the image appear on the screen immediately. The image is very clear and stable (the actual effect is much better than the screen image I uploaded. The uploaded screen image is taken directly against the screen with a mobile phone, so the effect is very poor).I drove the car on the free way and did a test. Unlike the camera with wireless, this image is almost instantaneous without any delay. Because it is transmitted directly through cable, the image is very stable without any interruption and jump. It's just what I want.The camera body is metal. It feels heavy and durable. The seller gave two connecting cables, one short and one long, which can be used for SUV and trailer respectively. The cable is very thick, the connector feels high-quality, and the two sets of cables feel very high quality.I test the equipment at the speed of 75 miles per hour on the highway. Thanks to the wired system, the image is extremely stable and colorful even at 75Mph , regardless of whether the road is flat, dense trees or cliffs. Even when shooting against the sun light, the image is still clear and vividGenerally speaking, I am very satisfied with this product and its cost performance is very high. Ich suchte eine nicht zu teure Kamera für mein Allradwohnmobil um bei Geländefahrten unter den Wagen schauen zu können. Interessanterweise gibt es dazu so gut wie nichts im Netz zu finden. Es gibt Kameras für die Grauwasserentsorgung, aber für meinen gewünschten Zweck habe ich nichts gefunden. So werde ich diese Kamera zeitweise für heikle Geländestrecken unter dem Auto einsetzen. Ich habe die Kamera schon mal einige Stunden laufen lassen und sie und der Monitor wurden nur handwarm und das Bild ist unglaublich gut. Alles dabei, auch 2 unterschiedlich lange Kabel. Man kann sogar Videos aufzeichnen! Einzig die Menüführung ist eine wenig altbacken, aber das ist Kritik auf hohem Niveau. Ich werde an einem geeigneten Punkt am Unterboden die Kamera anklemmen und das Kabel durch das Beifahrerfenster in das Cockpit leiten. Die Kamera ist wasserdicht deklariert, eine konkrete IP Schutzklasse habe ich nicht finden können. Die Befestigung wird noch eine kleine Herausforderung werden, soll sie doch gut halten, aber auch schnell wieder entfernbar sein, da ich die Kamera ja nur für Einzelstrecken nutzen werde. Aber wirklich Panik braucht man ja nicht haben, man hängt ja keine teure Kamera unter das Auto. Ich werde wieder darüber berichten. Übrigens nach der Lieferung kann man kostenlos eine 2.Kamera anfordern, fast nicht zu glauben.

Image quality excellent out of box and because it is a direct wired system, there are no problems with image lag time sometimes seen in wireless systems. Very complete set of wires and other parts for installation, which was straightforward. Lots of options including recording to SD card (not included), 2nd channel for another camera, couple of different ways to supply power, possibility of making mirror image without cutting any wires, ability to adjust picture quality, and 2 different ways to mount screen in vehicle. Bonus offer of free accessory which I have requested and hopefully will arrive soon! All this for reasonable price.

This is a really nice unit. Well made and easy to use.THE MONITORThe 7 inch display is larger than the majority of infotainment displays in vehicles. It allows you to easily see the video feed from the camera. The monitor comes with a sturdy mounting bracket with double back tape so you place it anywhere inside the vehicle or a windshield mount to make it portable The menu is intuitive and easy to operate. Unlike other backup cameras I’ve used, the menu on this one is easy. One small problem I had was with the date display, no matter what I set it to the live feed still showed the YY/MM/DD format. It also has the ability to hook up another camera and view both channels at once which is a nice touch. It has two features that I don’t really see as necessary and will probably never use. One is motion detection and the other is saving video clips. For video clips it needs an SD card (not included) to save recordings.THE CAMERAThe 1080p camera is very nice and the picture quality is great. The camera has a wide field of view so you can see what is behind you well. It also has a night mode that switches the feed to black and white automatically. I was surprised how well I could see in the complete darkness. It far exceeds the backup camera built into my Silverado. The camera itself is quite heavy and is make well. I think this will be able to stand up to some abuse in the elements here in Minnesota.HARDWARE SETUPThe unit comes with everything you should need to hook it up and start using it. It comes with a 7 and a 13 meter video cable that could be combined to make it 20 meter to fit the largest of trailers or RV’s. It is a wired connection which has its pros and cons. For this to function a video cable has to be connected to the monitor to view video. For trailers I could see this might be a problem to make sure there are not pinch points while turning. It’s also more difficult to run the cable into the vehicle and make the entry point waterproof. The connection points screw together to make a solid connection. I’ve used wireless backup cameras in the past. Those work well too, but the camera has to be closer to the monitor. This unit can be placed on longer trailers without issues. I think the best fit for this unit is for an RV. It would be rather simple to hide the cable and you wouldn’t have to worry about pinch points or turning with trailers.Overall, this is a great unit that I’m sure will last many years.
