Is 3T the correct size for a girl who recently turned 3? She is average height and thin. Reading some of the reviews that the sizes fit smaller.

I purchased this dress for my 5 year old granddaughter who is average weight but a bit shorter than her peers. I ordered a size 6 which is still a bit big on her. Hope this helps.
