I’m not a big fan of ketchup but it has its uses. As with all Mutti products this is first rate. Perfect balance of tart and sweet it was great to discover they produce this as well as the best tomato products available.

I cook all my food from scratch, make all my own condiments, etc.....well, you get the idea. I have had no luck in coming up with my own recipe, or trying someone else's, that tastes like good old Heinz. I do not eat onions and garlic so finding anything "on the shelf" was fruitless. I was browsing thru Amazon and found one other brand of this kind of ketchup and the reviews are mixed.....and its expensive.Down there in one of the comments someone mentioned they had bought this and how much better it was than that brand. So I did a lot of searching to find this.....its kind of hard to find.But OH MY.....it is so good. It has a deep complex flavor you associate with Heinz catsups. You can tell it is obviously made with Italian tomatoes.......And it comes in a glass bottle.....AND its really pretty cheap compared to the other brand. I will be a life long lover of this product.The first thing I did was make some mashed potatoes and sunny side eggs and poured this on top. A little goes a long way, its pretty thick. Died and went to heaven. Thank you Mutti. Thank you to the Seller who carries this.

this is the real thing not overly sweet super tomato flavor reminds me of my grandmas home made ketchup

This is my third review of Mutti tomato products, and I'm just as enthusiastic about their ketchup (or catsup, if you prefer) as I am about their vinegar, tomato paste, and other products.This is the richest, most flavorful ketchup I've ever tried. It is, in the European tradition, not heavily dosed with sugar, which we Americans often associate with something "tasting good." For the folks at Mutti, the good taste comes because tomatoes themselves are tasty, and some are quite sweet, and don't need a lot of corn syrup and other gooky stuff to make them palatable.Try a bottle -- Mutti Tomato Ketchup, 12 oz bottle, will make your burgers, beans, soups, and even your favorite tomato soup all the more flavorful and rich, with an earthy, not too pungent taste that will certainly make you say, "Wow!"

I ordered tis product because the description states no added sugar -- which is not true. The product is from Italy and of course, everything on the bottle is Italian. Whoever distributed the product is aware of the discrepancy because the bottle arrived with a huge white sticker with the ingredients listed -- Sugar is the second ingredient.

Very nice tangy ripe tomato flavor, rich and thick. The flavor and texture support the higher price. My only reason I did not rate it a 5 is that it is so think and rich; it is almost like tomato paste in consistency.

Outstanding flavor and lacking the usual additives.

This tastes very good but in the ad it does not tell you one very important thing. You can't use and store it like regular ketchup, once opened you must use it within 20 days and that is stored in the refrigerator, it states that on the label. After 20 days it goes bad. So if you use lots of ketchup it is great but if you only use it on occasion don't buy it.
