Rust Converter - works as advertised, turns rust black and into a non-rusted substance.
This rust converter worked great. I just brushed it on a metal plate that I couldn't sand all the rust off and the rust basically just turned black after a few seconds, I spray painted it with some white rustolleum spray paint and it stays rust free. Even after heavy rainy days. Great product. Definitely recommend.

This stuff works!
I’m just an average Joe who likes to fix things rather than buy new. I acquired a smoker from my neighbor who was going to toss it. This it a HEAVY DUTY cast iron smoker with tons of life. It just needed a good scrubbing and to remove the rust. I researched rust converter and gave it a try.I got the large chunks of rust off and scraped the whole thing with a wire brush to get down to the light surface rust before application.I applied 2 coats of the stuff over the smoker and I’m amazed. You can see the pictures speak for themselves. It works well! It’s. White foamy liquid that goes on white and dries dark after reacting with the rust.I’ll update with long term results later!

Did not really work on old iron shell fragments
I was looking for a short cut to use on 1860s iron shell fragments found relic hunting. Normally everyone does electrolysis and the results are great, though time consuming and a lot of mess and effort. I was hopeful science had found a way to stop the fragments dissolving when removed from the ground, but unfortunately this product didn't really work. I followed the directions but after a few months I'm starting to see discoloration and probable bubbling up of the coating on the cast iron.I have a feeling this would work much better on surface rust, especially on sheet metal, but unfortunately for iron that has been in the ground for a few hundred years you really need to use electrolysis to treat the metal properly.

Spend the money, this stuff works
Living by the coast the rust battle is a constant. Experience matters. I have used the spray paint type rust converters. they do well on the upper most surfaces. This product is much better. When applied to rust it fizzes and foams, Getting into, under and around the rust. When dry it turns dark where the rust was. Repainted with oil based paint and it looks great. Its not cheap. but its better than the rest. Fast delivery!Rust never sleeps.....

I used this product to do repair on rust in my dishwasher.
This product turns black when it contacts rust. Easy product to use. A new dishwasher basket cost about 5 hundred dollars. So using this product makes a lot of sense.

Stuff is awesome
It really does what it says. Spray it on and the lighter rust seems to just disappear. Heavier stuff turns a really dark purple color. On bare metal it looks similar to rifle bluing. I did what I could with a wire wheel and was going to sand blast but turned out to be too expensive. This got everywhere it needed to go. I sprayed it down let it sit overnight because of time constraints, and I painted over it in the morning. I’d give it a five star rating, but the sprayer part is pretty much a POS. It did the job, but if I had a different spray bottle on hand I would have used it.
