Excellent shaver.
Have been using this now for several months and it does a great job. battery seems to last forever, shaves close, noise minimal, vibration is minimal. Seems to be expertly constructed. Only downside is that it charges with some USB-C adapters, but not others. It generally doesn’t charge with higher-end laptop and phone chargers. My guess is they didn’t implement USB-C power delivery protocol. So it needs a ‘dumb’ supply to charge. But it does come with a charger.

Simply the BEST screen shaver. Period!!
I wish i could give it 10 stars.I have purchased maroon wahl five star shaver shaper, which did a pretty good job (7 out of 10 rating), but i had to buy screens every 4 weeks as the are held in with 6 melted plastic tabs that break loose, and thats $20+ for a new screen each time. Also, the charging indicator light quit working and wont charge so i need to use it plugged in now, and its ridiculously loud. Then i got a rotary shaver, (groomie), that was an absolute joke (3 out of 10 rating), then i got this no name one that advertised long lasting battery, and does a pretty good job, takes a few passes, but cuts longer 4 or 5 day shave hair, and lasts long enough on a charge to finish the job (solid 6 out 10 rating). And then theres this shaver ... perfect 10 rating. Just as close as a blade, shaved a 2 day shave close as a blade, and in less time as i made fewer passes because, guess what, IT WORKS PERFECTLY. I really wish i had bought this 1st.

Love the shaver so far.
I’ve been using a Norelco 7782 for the past 4 years. I used a Panasonic Arc5 before that. I like both of these shavers, but the Andis Resurge gives a closer shave for less money. I have a very thick beard and the Andis gets a very close shave with less strokes. I can’t say anything about how long it will last, but so far I’m impressed by its look, feel, and effectiveness.

Buy one. You won’t regret it.
I was ready for a new razor and asked my barber about his. He gave me the info for this and I ordered one. The cost is entirely reasonable for the quality you get. The box it came in was a work of art. The razor itself is a little heavier than I would expect given its size, but it is well balanced and well-made. The magnetic head cover works perfectly. The whole unit is balanced and stands upright without trying to wobble or fall over. No gimmicks — just quality. It charges quickly. And the shaving results…. Wow. I had been using my old R-brand model so long that I had forgotten with a close shave is like. In order to get a reasonably close shave, I would have to monkey with it and manipulate my face for 15 minutes. This thing gave me much better results in less than five minutes total. I am blown away.

Blade cover broke after about 90 shaves
Bought this February 17th. Here it is 5 months later, after being used 2-3x a week. Happend 2 minutes ago.The shave is great. Would have given it 4 stars otherwise. But to have the part that protects my face after 5 months of very little daily use...unacceptable.Oh, and I sport a beard. Those shaves were 50% of my face, or less!

Great Battery Life and Smooth Shave – Minor Downsides
This electric shaver has been a great addition to my grooming routine. The battery life is truly impressive — I can go several days (even weeks) without needing to recharge, which makes it perfect for travel or busy mornings. The shave is smooth and comfortable, and it works well for both quick touch-ups and full grooming sessions. It’s also fairly quiet and easy to clean. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it doesn’t always get the closest shave in harder-to-reach areas, like under the chin or jawline. It sometimes takes a few extra passes. But overall, it’s a reliable and efficient shaver that I would definitely recommend.

The Best Shaver Available Today
This product is truly remarkable. How did this small Andis company get so many things right when the two major players, Braun and Norelco are missing the boat?Let me tell you what I mean and about the best features.DesignThe razor is packaged like an Apple device. Opening it provides the customer with a sense of confidence, as the product oozes confidence in its tightly integrated box.The design of the razor is sleek, beautiful, minimal and as a result is super easy to use. The razor has a soft touch area on it, is matte, and it has beautiful gold colored metal accents. It is the perfect size and it’s straight (non curved) design allows it to be packed in a Dopp kit easily. There is one button. It controls on and off. It is also used to lock the device to inadvertently keep it from turning on in a luggage. To lock it press and hold for 5 seconds until the light flashes. To unlock press and hold until it turns on (about 5 seconds). This also makes it an excellent travel razor. There are three LEDs that show charge level and status. Charging is done in about an hour I believe. I believe you get two hours of use but this razor will work in less than half of the time as it’s competitors (more on that below). There is one USB-C port (more on that below, as well). There is also a cover that magnetically attaches to the top to protect the foil.Under the magnetic cover is the foil. The cover (foil) removes easily but is secure at the same time. Cleaning is super easy with an included brush. Simply brush the foil off into the sink. The plastic used on this razor is thick and feels premium.UseAs mentioned it is simple to use. Press the button to start and the motor hums alive. Press again and it is off. The shaver shaved extremely close. In about 30 seconds I shaved my entire face so close that I thought I used a blade, or as my wife said, it felt as though it was waxed. I tried my chest next. Super fast and again felt waxed. The shaver feels like it shaving so close it will give you razor burn but it doesn’t. I have super sensitive skin. You can also use this as a wet razor but I only used it dry. So in theory you could also wash the razor off in a sink.My Braun and Norelco razors (both only a couple years old and about $100 and $200 respectively), required longer shave times going over the spots multiple times. With the Andis razor one pass shaved the area clear of hair. This razor shaves a good solid stubble to absolute smoothness on one single pass. On longer hair (say 1/2 inch) it would be best to trim that with a different razor or keep passing over it until it cuts it. I tried it on longer armpit hair and although it eventually cut it, it required multiple passes.USB-CThe most magical part of this razor is that it comes with a USB-C charger that plugs into the wall. I will only use the wall charger when home and plan to bring a simple USB-C cord with me when on the road. The big razor companies are missing out using proprietary chargers or building special holders that charge the razor and clean the head. I would imagine most people don’t want this today, as they crave simplicity. No one certainly wants to travel with a huge charging holder that is proprietary or bring more cords on the road, let alone have to keep track of that stuff at home.Plus, all of these companies tout being “green” but the lack of USB-C and giant plastic holders that use special cleaners show their true motive. What is MissingThe only thing missing on the sleek packaged, amazing Andis razor is a tight and small case and a small sideburn trimmer. Even if we had an option to buy a case afterwards, that would be welcome as this razor is an excellent travel companion. I also don’t mind not having a sideburn trimmer as I have other options and soon I hope they will be Andis options.Bottom LineI love this razor and I have already told many people in the first few hours of ownership about it. This product will make me consider other Andis options. I hope Andis takes on Philips Norelco’s OneBlade. I love the OneBlade product, but it could use massive improvements including more power, faster charge times, sleeker design, USB-C, and closer shaving capability.Andis is a top end company and this razor proves it.
