Does what it's supposed to do!

I had a gas stove and oven in India and brought this CO detector from the US. Good thing I did! Any time I would bake for more than 1 hour, e.g. two items in a row, the CO monitor would go off, and I'd have to open all the doors and ventilate the kitchen. Within a year I replaced it with a different gas stove-oven, and the same CO monitor never went off.I lent the CO monitor to a friend who was using a gas heater in a room where their new born baby was (in India), and the alarm, went off. So they changed their heating system, and got a CO monitor for themselves.I'm so glad I had this CO detector! Brain damage and possible death were certainly prevented.

I love that it’s built exactly like my last Kidde detector, which lasted over 13 years, so I was able to reuse the old mounting hardware without any hassle—no need to redo the setup! Good quality coming from Kidde. We have 2 of these and 1 is several years old and still working well. Not our first Kidde product and we've been pleased with every product from Smoke Detectors to Fire Extinguishers, and our Carbon Monoxide Detectors.

This is one very important and safety driven item we all definitely need in our homes. It's a small item that protects us. And by the way, it's self contained and literally lasts for ten years.
