Nice Clean Sound!!
I ordered these to replace the factory speakers for the front of my 2005 Chevy Colorado, and I couldn't be happier. The 6500CX Reference Component Speaker set comes with (2) 6 1/2" Woofers, (2) 3/4" Uni-Pivot Tweeters, (2) Component Crossovers, (2) Universal Mounting Brackets, all the hardware needed to install the system, some single-sided sticky foam for the backs of the speakers and the tweeters, (2) Pivoting Tweeter Mounts, (2) Customizable Tweeter Flush Mounts, (2) Fixed Tweeter Mounts, and (2) "Infinity" Badges if you use the factory grills for the woofers. It does not come with any wiring harnesses, speaker wire, or wire splices, so make sure you have some if you plan on installing these. It took a while to figure out how to mount the crossovers in the door, so that when I put the door panel back on it wouldn't crush them, but mounting them just under the armrest bracket worked out perfectly. I ran them straight from my Pioneer DEH-3200UB Head Unit, utilizing the existing wiring for the factory woofers. I just disconnected the factory tweeters, and ran the crossovers from the woofer wires and split them to the speakers. You don't want to run the tweeters from the factory wires, as I was told by the guys at Crutchfield that the factory wiring uses as transistor for the tweeters and it will not work with the aftermarket ones, so you have to use the included crossover and run it from the full range woofer wiring. To mount the tweeters I had to cut out the factory grills from the door panels and used the pivot mounts. I was able to use the factory grills for the woofers though. The crossovers have a switch on them labeled "3dB", that is for adjusting the output of the tweeters. Pushing it in increases the tweeter range up 3dB for a higher sound output. The sound from these speakers is incredible, even my wife commented that the vocals in songs sounded much clearer than the factory speakers, and the lows are much deeper. The lows are so much deeper that now, I have to figure out where this rattling is coming from in my dash, and the speakers are mounted in the doors. I believe it is from the plastic turn lock access panel on the side but I am not sure yet. I choose Infinity because I have used them in the past for my last truck and they sounded great and are still going strong even after 10 years. This was a great buy and for the price you can't beat it, on Infinity's website this component set sells for $250. I am very pleased and I would recommend these to anyone that wants to upgrade their factory speakers, and get nice clear sound without breaking the bank.

Very respectable.
These were bought as an affordable, quick fix replacement for a set of 25 year old Kef Kar speakers that finally had a tweeter fail. Not quite in the same league as those Kef's but a pretty nice component set, especially for the price that Amazon sells these older models. I'd give them a solid 3.5 stars for sound and they are definitely a very good value for the price.I had the mids high passed at 80Hz and this set played loud and clean with a good, 100 watt per channel amplifier. I can't comment on how well the mids handle the frequencies below 80Hz. The tweeters aren't exceptionally detailed or airy but they are clear, fairly smooth and non-fatiguing. Really, my only small con is with a subtle, nasal sounding "resonance" from the tweeter that sometimes presents itself, seemingly most often with some vocal harmonics. A good description might be that they can be just a little rough around the edges within a very narrow frequency range. Again, it's fairly subtle and not really noticed with casual listening while driving. More of a nit pick than much else.I have since replaced the Infinity's with a different component set that's a little bit higher up the food chain. But still, these are a good buy and a very respectable set. If I wasn't previously spoiled by the Kef's, these Infinity's would still be in the truck. You can spend more and get less, which is probably why Infinity has remained so popular over the years.

Speakers worth replacing your current set up with.
Ordered these speakers to replace two year old polk audio 3-way speakers in the front doors of my 2006 Chevy Colorado. I wanted a little more depth to my bass than what the Polk Audio speakers provided. Installation was not complicated, but you will need speaker cable, connectors, a wire crimper, and some thought for crossover placement and wiring. Installation took a couple of hours, but once completed, the sound was drastically different. I opted to push the button in for the 3db treble increase. I instantly could tell a difference in sound clarity for highs and the bass I was looking for. Don't expect the bass you would get from having massive woofers and an amp, but do expect all around high quality sound from these Infinity speakers. I have an aftermarket head unit without an amp, but I could still turn the sound up and hear no distortion and pounding bass that would rattle the plastic on my cheap chevy doors. This is the third time I have replaced the speakers in my truck and honestly, I wish I would have invested in the beginning on this great set of Infinity component speakers. Infinity provided various mounting hardware for the tweeters and woofers, which was great. What I really thought was neat is that they also provided two small plastic Infinity logos to put over the speaker grill if you opt to have a more factory look to your doors instead of using the grills provided. As for the price, I saved about fifty bucks by buying on Amazon instead of going to the local electronics retailer in my area, same day shipping was an option too. The speakers took about six hours to reach my door step after placing the order. Overall, I am very satisfied with these speakers and prompt shipping I received from the vendor.

Good speakers, Poor Installation Kit
The speakers themselves are nice. But, they do not come with cables or even connectors. This is inexcusable. The assortment of screws that comes with them are incomprehensible. Why? Because the 'manual' contains absolutely no instructions whatsoever, apart from mostly useless diagrams.I had to go out and purchase wire, connectors, screws, etc. just to install them.
