The Other Side and Back: A Psychic's Guide to Our World and Beyond

I bought this book on 4 separate occasions because I give it as a gift to people. I’ve read all of her books but this is the best one by far.

I have been interested in Spriutality for a while and was looking for a good read to understand the "Mysteroius" Relam of the Other Side. I had a sister who passed away under tragic cerimstances many years ago and miss her very much. Due to a catholic?? Upbring they never really explain how people who pass away still "knows and cares" for us and other ways the sprits can help us. That's where Sylvia Browne comes in " fill in the blanks" and sort out the confusion of what the Other Side/Nirvina/Heaven is like . Also the book mention briefly on looking for sings and everday miracles and how the mind affects the body. Also there is a chapter on 10 things we fear how we can overcome it There is a chapter on preictions on the future. This is a good way to introduce topics to get ideas what Spriturality is . She is FUNNY and well written for a beginner or any levels of sprituality. This book and many she has written I have only read maybe 7 books she written like 35??? Books so far.... ):-) I highly recommend these books written by sylvia browne to anyone who lost a loved one or just curious to see what Spirtuality or New Age is about.

my life mate asked me to get this book at the same time i bought one other Sylvia Brown's books. She sat down and started reading this book while i was reading a book of my own. Little did i know that i was not going to be able to read my book, because she kept talking to me every few pages and telling me how good the book was. i just gave up reading mine since she was so excited in this book to tell me about something she read every 15 minutes or so. she thanked me very much for the book and has now read it about three times that i know of to let it all soak in. sylvia brown is a staple in our house and you will see her books on the table or book case for easy access. so all i can say is she just loved this book and learned much from this book. she talks to her friends about her books and lends them out but makes sure she gets them back when they are done. great book and a must read.

I bought this book back in 2010 and now reviewing it! I know... should've done so sooner, but it's never too late (as the saying goes). This book was recommended to me by a very dear friend. I love this book because it touches so many different aspects of this world and the other side... and beyond! I'ts like a quick guide, reference, or insight... or whatever you want to call it. It was like a beginner's guide to me. I always had visions and spiritual encounters that I did not understand, and I didn't have anyone to talk with about it. Until my dear friend introduced me to it. I am so grateful for this book. Because of it, I continued to educate myself and I now practice meditation, yoga, and natural healing modalities. Love this book and highly recommend to anyone who is interested in reading and researching about what's beyond this realm. I love Sylvia Browne and so grateful for this book and many of her other books... I feel as if she is now watching over us. And still teaching us with her books! I bought a few copies and handed them out to a few friends... they absolutely loved it!

This book was a very interesting read. I enjoyed reading the book and it has some interesting thoughts on what the afterlife may be like. I accidentally purchased the Kindle edition of this book, and really wanted the paperback version. Luckily I own a kindle

First of all if you read this book you know that Sylvia Brown is not evil, she is a true believer in God. I'd only seen Sylvia on talk shows and decided to read one of her books, this being the first. I'm 48 years old and I too was raised Catholic, and although there are some things in the book that are hard to understand, such as reincarnation, Sylvia describes them in such a way that you begin to see the possibilities and you are not going against your beliefs in God. I found this book helped me to understand a lot and question some things that I have been taught (in questioning you just learn more). So, I would say that this book has helped me to be a better person and look at life and other people differently. Since reading the book (in one day because I couldn't put it down) two other people have borrowed it to read, and both of them have enjoyed it and gotten something out of it. I would definitely recommend this book and plan on reading more of her material.

I absolutely loved and enjoyed reading every page of this book! It made me stop and think so many times. I appreciate all the information she provided throughout the book because it gave me more insight to alot of things, especially the other side we call home. I think anyone would enjoy this book if they're looking for a little more understanding on questions they may be have about their life purpse or maybe going through something. Granted it won't tell you exactly what your purpose here on earth is, but it does make you think deeper inside yourself. If you're hesitant to buy this book, don't be! Definitely a good read!!

I have bought so many copies of this book for friends. When the world gets too difficult, death of a loved one, or any other challenge, open up this book and understand why. Each topic is two pages long. This book will bring you comfort and understanding.

La verdad que no me convence, creo que hay gente que ha visto un chollo en las ECM y a vender libros se ha dicho. Creo que las ECM es un asunto que hay que prestar atención y debe ser objeto de estudios cientificos y escuchar a los que la han tenido, pero como siempre hay gente que se apunta a todo.

Great read and fascinating observations. Having studied spiritualism/psychic matters for the last 50 years or so, this is a very easy to read and enjoyable book. Her observations are obviously personal but seem to make sense in many ways. I'm always cautious about psychic books as every author seems to claim " this is the truth" but everything is relative. Read this in conjunction with William Buhlman's book Adventures Beyond the Body and things will become much clearer and make a lot of sense!

Interesting book to read. Difficult at some places, to understand. But good to read. Should give it to try. 👍

I chose 5 stars because this book played such an important part in my life. My grandfather had just passed away and I had always been so scared of death. Sometimes even finding it hard to enjoy things in life with the constant reminder of death. When I picked up this book and stated reading it in grade 8, I was completely captivated by what she had to stay. I was beginning to become excited for my life and even death. I wanted to meet my spirit guides, I wanted to to know more about the other side, and what I was capable of in this life. Reading this book made me feel like someone told me Santa, the Easter bunny, and magic is all real, and then said if you think hard enough you can fly too. I would recommend this book to everyone. There is not one person who wouldn't gain something from this book. I would especially recommend it to someone who is depressed about life (in a rut.) or lost someone they love or is just open to this world of thinking.
