It works and is portable
It works and it is portable! We have 2 Cavaliers who scratch at the door when we leave. We bought this because it does NOT stick to the door. My dogs have stopped scratching immediately. We also stay at a lot of VRBO's and will bring this with when we bring the dogs. No sticking to door and taking paint or varnish off.

Door saver!
We have a high anxiety small dog who loves to scratch at the door when we leave. We have bought two of these now. The first door guard we bought three years ago. It fit perfectly on our door without trimming it and although our dog scratched and even bit at it for a few months when we first got it, it held up! The edge where he bit did get gnarled, but he never tore it off or tore off chunks. We moved several states away and at first we thought we could get by without buying a new door guard. Then we left our pup and he scratched the door frame! We bought a new guard and I had to trim the edge off to get it to fit in our more narrow entryway. It was easy to trim and cut to size. It's a door saver for sure to have it on the door!

Less expensive that paint, a sander, or door trim
Moved to a new house and was worried abt the dog scratching at our new doors. I purchased a total of 3 of these. I think the dog has only actually scratched at these once. For some reason he’s actually sort of freaked out by them, and does not like scratching them. So I suppose they serve their purpose! They can be a pain in the A coming in and out the doors. But on the plus, they also sort of provide a buffer to keep puppy from slipping between feet. I tried to take pictures but the frosted glass can be difficult to photograph. The first 2 pictures should be the kitchen door. On this one I had to trim the right side down because the counter is next to the door. The plastic is thick, so I could not get the piece onto the door without trimming. I also had to trim the bottom of both the kitchen and side doors. I didn’t on the front door, so I guess maybe my knobs are at different heights... once trimmed, the plastic does not sit straight and tilts on the knob, leaning into the cabinet. I tried trimming the other side to even out and it wasn’t successful. In the kitchen image, you can see the plastic coming away from the door. I wasn’t sure if this was due to the knob or what. The last two images are the side door. The guard was also curving up on the side door. Because of the weight I couldn’t keep it on the door, so I cut a hole in the top to let the deadbolt out. I couldn’t find my packing tape so this is currently being held together with painters tape which is not the best look. If it would have stayed up without me cutting it, I probably wouldn’t have bothered. I thought about cutting the top down now, since the dog hasn’t been scratching, but my luck he’d start doing it directly above that spot! Overall, these have been effective for me. They aren’t best looking, and I’m hoping not to keep them up forever. Thinking they’ll come down once the puppy is used to the knew house, and then stay in the basement in case we ever have a new dog. Definitely worth spending the money on these instead of a door!

Very pleased with the door protector!
This door protector works great, and I believe a good value for the price! My 40 lb. dog (not the one in the photo) still runs and jumps up scratching at the doorknob every time I go to send her outside. The ridges do create a noise, but not enough to scare my dog. All 3 of my dogs have gotten used to waiting just a few seconds longer to slip around the outer edge of the protector that protects my door frame and sheetrock wall. I used household scissors to cut a hole for my deadbolt lever. Because I bought the heavy duty extra thick one, it took some struggling to cut the hole. But otherwise, installation for easy. There is no adhesive on the product, which I like. I did use some strong magnets to stick it to the metal door, but these are not really necessary. The magnets keep the protector from rocking on the doorknob, but my dog sometimes slaps the magnets off accidentally. It is clear and looks nice.

Not worth it
Not great, and only comes with 2 adhesive squares. Dog got it off very easily

Decent, I like it a lot, my dog is just a menace and ripped the door knob hole
It's pretty cool and worked well for a while, but my 50 lb mixed breed dog ripped the hole that hooks on the door know after about a month so now she constantly rips it off. If your dog is not an absolute menace it's great. Before she figured out she could rip it off it was great.

door shield
I have two large dogs and foster dogs. When they hear anyone coming up the stairs they all get excited and so I purchased this door shield to protect the door. It works. It is clear that from a distance you cant tell it is there and I like how it is made to fit over the door handle. It really does protect the door. I have ordered several more so all my doors are now all protected.

Excelente producto

Not worth it and did not work
This is much thinner than I thought, and did little to nothing to stop our dog (11 month old 55 lb lab) from scratching. The velcro supplied didn't work either. 3/16" Plexi from a home supply store was less than half the cost and more effective. Granted it was a bit more work to install, but it stopped the scratching.

Buena calidad del plástico
Lo que no me gusto es que solo se puede embonar la perilla de la puerta al centro de la lámina de plástico y no abarca el espacio que necesito

Cannot tolerate the sun
After 6 months in the sun, when touched, they shattered like glass! Otherwise, really work well.
