I'm sure anyone buying these have had similar before, I couldn't find mine so I got this set, well packaged up and so far are doing a great job, they are well made and the sides are not lifting away from the foam centre. The centre is good and solid so they don't bend which is what I wanted. Very pleased so far.

I bought these as the selection of the grit was good. They are a nice size to hold and both sides of each are abrasive. Each one has the grade printed on it which is handy, but it does wear off after a couple of uses. They are pretty good but didn’t work well for my intended use. I tried using them for cast and resin printed dice. But as they are basically two bits of sandpaper around a bit of firm foam they were a bit soft, so ended up slightly rounding up the edges when I was trying to get a nice sharp flat edge on the dice.

These pads are excellent if you are a pen turner very easy to use, simply clean them with clean water as needed. My only complaint is the grade sometimes difficult to make out after a few uses. Hence 4 stars rather than 5

I cannot vouch for the grit sizes advertised. I bought these in order to customise and polish Inkursive untipped steel EF calligraphy nibs that I found too scratchy and causing spotting un up-strokes. Using the 12000 grit pad I managed to get a smoother writing nib and NEARLY stop the spotting, but not quite. The 12000 cuts but does not polish. On the other hand, out of the box Japanese tipped EF from Kaküno and Platinum are really smooth. On the plus side it is nice to have small pads rather than having to cut patches from sheets.
