Does not deter pigeons
The pigeons are not afraid of this. One sat directly over it and pooped on its head.

It works on getting rid of the mean Florida Mockingbird.
The Florida state bird, “Mocking Bird”, is a plague in our neighborhood. They are very territorial and will not allow other birds in our backyard. The fake hawk is great for getting them out of our backyard. The downside is, no other birds will come in either.
