How much time difference is there between product manufacturing and buyers receipt [decomposition]?

The product, generally speaking is no older then 3 months before it reaches you the customer. We get large batches every 3 months, so each new batch is very fresh, and every day that passes it get s a bit older.

Can this be used to clean and disinfect drinking water containers/storage?

Why are you not using opaque containers? Light breaks it down.

The containers seem bloated, like about to burst, and can't stand straight on the shelf. Should I open them and let some air out or just store as is?

Yes, you can slowly open it and let some air out. This happens for a variety of reasons, usually weather related. We package it in Arizona, it then gets very cold on a truck shipping somewhere, then reheats in the house and can cause this reaction. The peroxide is still good. Be careful letting the air out.
