Lead Sled Weight Bag with Durable Construction and Water Resistance for Outdoor, Range, Sight-In, Shooting and Hunting

These came as a package deal with a Caldwell lead sled shooting platform. I purchased repurposed 25lb lead shot bags for mine. The lead shot bags fit perfectly into these, so I did not have transfer the shot into them. Durable material, have not had any issues with them.

The shooting rest is mounted to a 24x30 inch sheet of 3/4" plywood, the side of the plywood toward the bench is painted with a rubberized anti-skid paint. These sandbags were placed on top of the plywood to restrain the shooting rest and have performed quite well. Excellent quality. Easily fits a 25 pound bag of shot. No need to remove the shot from the existing bag, just slide it in the lead sled bag.

I was able to fill each one with 25lbs of lead weight and they held up great. The only issue I had is that the zipper will allow smaller lead BB's to escape so I had to use zip lock bags to hold 5lbs of BB's and then place those inside.

Don't spend more on lead shot weight, save yourself almost $200 using BBs! (The BBs come in very convenient containers, the only reason the photos are of the BBs in bowls is because I tested the Caldwell weight bags without a liner and had trouble with leaks. Line your weight bags!) The BBs are almost as heavy and extra easy to acquire from most stores. Each bag can easily hold 12k BBs and still weigh 18.5lbs for just over $30 ( around $8 per 6k BB container plus tax ) vs the Lead shot weights which weigh 25lbs per bag but can cost anywhere from $50-$75 per bag. The only difference is it will require some minor prep which only takes a couple minutes. I highly recommend using heavy duty Freezer bags to line the inside of your Caldwell weight bags no matter the medium as it will prevent leaking around the zipper. Line the inside of the bag, fill it up with your medium of choice, seal the freezer bag, tuck in the end of the freezer bag and zip that bad boy closed. Done, saves you messy cleanups and leaks later along with (depending on the medium you use to weigh down the bags) saving you a good chunk of change! These bags do exactly what they're made to do and with a little prep can do it at a very reasonable price!

I've had a couple 25lb canvas bags of lead shot for about 20 years and I'd use them at the range every year with my old Lead Sled when I'd sight in my scopes for hunting season. The canvas was getting a little threadbare, though, and I did NOT want to clean up the mess when the canvas broke! When these bags arrived I was a little disappointed as they just didn't look large enough. To my great surprise, though, I tried dropping an old bag into the new one and it went in like a pillow into a tight pillow case! They both fit perfectly and now I don't have to worry about picking up lead shot from everywhere! I love the carry handles and the secure closures. Rock solid, great product!

They appear to be well constructed of quality material. If filled with sand the zippers with leak. I line them with a small trash bag. Then fill with sand and seal the trash bag with zip-tie and zip her up. Sand is much cheaper than lead. Each bag holds +/- 7.5 lbs. I just got these so I'm not able to rate durability.

Costano un pò...forse troppo per quelli che sono però se hai la passione del tiro a segno come zavorre per il rest vanno bene a patto di riempirle con ghiaia piccola o sabbia, dipende per che cosa li devi usare.
