Enjoyable taste when mixed or diluted
Update: November 22, 2016.I now drink two tubes per day of these in order to consume my required daily protein. (Dilute with water and drink throughout the day.) I am required to consume 110 grams of protein per day. Two of these give me 84 grams per protein. My weight management doctor has prescribed two per day for me. This is one of the few whey protein drinks I can have. This one doesn't contain the protein casein. I do not tolerate casein. Casein causes my Lupus and Fibromyalgia to flare causing me to have severe joint and muscle pain. Eliminating casein and gluten from my diet has decreased my pain a lot. This product does not contain either ingredient.(End of update)My bariatric team requires me to drink these starting the day after my surgery. They sell these for $4.00 per tube. I put off buying any until I checked out prices at other places. Here the cost was around $2.25 per tube. I have been struggling to find high protein clear liquids (that I like) to drink for the first week after my surgery. Since I am required to drink one of these per day for the first week I decided to try them now and see if I can tolerate them.I can not drink these right out of the tube...they are like drinking syrup.I found I like the watermelon when I pour one quarter of a tube over a 12 ounce glass of crushed ice and then fill the glass with water. (I can drink all of the flavors this way , but my favorite is the watermelon.) By the time I drink the entire tube I have consumed 42 grams of protein and 48 ounces of water. (I currently need 120 grams of protein per day)The Orange flavor mixes well with sugar free Orange crush drink mix. I mix one packet of Orange crush in 16 ounces of water. Fill my 12 ounce glass with crushed ice and pour one quarter of a tube of Orange New whey in my glass and fill with my pre mixed Orange crush drink. I generally end up mixing 2 tubes of Orange crush drink mix with 32 ounces of water and drink this combo throughout the day.I like the True Lemon drink mixes mixed with the New Whey also. True Lemon Raspberry mixes well with the acai, raspberry and fruit punch flavors.True Orange drink mix goes well with Orange. I am sure you can find other flavor combos that will work for you.I like the True Lemon drink mix packets ( all flavors) because they taste good, but they use crystallized fruit giving each tube a hefty serving of vitamin C and they use Stevie and sugar as sweeteners while still only 10 calories.Currently. I am drinking one tube per day of New Whey and 2 containers of Premier Protein and food to make my 120 grams of protein per day.I may have to change my part or and sweeteners (in mixes) because I am having much more joint and muscle pain than normal. I have SLE and RA. I am wondering if the whey or artificial sweeteners are increasing my pain and my fatigue. I just thought of this today and will be contacting my doctors on Monday.

You can drink it like an energy drink
You can drink it like an energy drink, but I add it to 64 oz bottle of water and sometimes drink my second bottle with New Whey too. I kill 4 birds with one stone, hydrate, feed my body muscles with 42 Grahams of protein, the added protein fuels me, and curbs my appetite (which needs curbing)! Also, powder whey without a blender is inconvenient, messy, nasty tasting, and gritty. New Whey you can take at your home, office, and/or gym,,, and on the fly. No mess, no nasty taste, no gritty texture in your mouth and teeth!

... surgery I was on a quest to find a good way of getting low volume high doses of protein
After bariatric surgery I was on a quest to find a good way of getting low volume high doses of protein. This stuff tasted rough during pre op diet, but post surgery it made me gag. I could not tolerate the acidic sour taste with sickening amounts of artificial sweetener added to cover the horrible taste. If you are in a similar boat try the Quest nutrition bars. The apple pie and cinnamon roll bar are flat out the only way to go for high dose protein and supplemental nutrition. Your body cannot process much more than 28 grams of protein in a single serving so almost half of the protein in this shot overwhelms the typical person.

Great for weight loss if you do your homework, love the easy portability/use, not crazy about two of the flavors
Good as the basis of a zero/low carb diet. Got the variety pack to try the flavors. First I'll say that I was on teh original famous (or infamous) liquid protein diet in the late 70's. The ONLY diet that I was ever successful with over a llifetime struggel with weight. The liquid protein they sold back then was horrible compared to this stuff. Imagine the nastiest cough syrup you can imagine but wth the consistency of honey, so yuo can't even gulp it down quickly. This stuff is heaven by comarison. That said, my favorites are the Blueberry and the Fruit Punch. The Orange and Grape have a bad after taste. On any of them, i found it more palatable by pouring in a cup or so of sparkling water. I use a citrus flavored one that (almost) makes this like drinking a fruit flavored soda. Since i'm only using two or three shots a day for my protein intake, this is very manageable. An i've lost over 10 pounds in the first week, though admitedly much of that could be assumed to be water weight, plus I also have quite a lot to lose.I would be interesdted in hearing more from those that contend that teh protein quality of this prodcut ios poor comared to others. I'd espeicalluy like to know more about those others and what makes them better. The east use of these shots of the protein, vice mixing shakes, is a big plus for this product however.
