Q: what are the ingredients of Lowila cake soap

Lowila is very obsolete. I don’t remember that main ingredient any more. I even thought to make it myself when it was discontinued but couldn’t find info. However I now use Dove for sensitive skin and it works just fine.

Q: Why is lowila bar soap discontinued..i need it. where else can i get?

Apparently one of the ingredients, boric acid was considered toxic, as rather than break down over time when absorbed by the skin, it had a cumulative effect which they claimed could be toxic. I researched this and you would have to eat, excessively inhale to have a toxic effect. I loved this soap, I have eczema and it was so soothing to my skin. Toxic or not, it was a great soap that never dried your skin, lathered well and had a nice clean scent.
