I’m using this nano air pump in a compact 3-liter deep water culture (DWC) hydroponic setup, and it’s been exactly what I needed. It provides just the right amount of aeration to keep the nutrient solution oxygen-rich without creating too much turbulence for the roots. Despite its small size, it performs reliably—and best of all, it’s virtually silent. The piezoelectric ceramic plate design makes it much quieter than traditional air pumps. I have it running continuously, and I barely notice it’s on. Setup was quick and easy. The kit includes the pump, tubing, a check valve, an air stone, and a suction cup—everything you need to get started right out of the box. The suction cup holds well and keeps the pump neatly in place. For small-scale hydroponic systems like mine, this is a solid choice. Quiet, compact, and effective—exactly what I was looking for.

Falling in love with the nicrew product. I got the filter assembly because I needed a small filter that didn't over power my 1 gallon and 3.5 gallon tanks and just fell in love. I needed a small air pump for my small air sponge and saw nicrew had this and you can put it on the tank. It is so easy to use and the size is perfect to keep out of the way. It functions perfectly and is super quiet that i forget it is there. Perfect air flow and the price is a perfect match for the quality. Will be ordering more nicrew product as long as they keep the quality and price.

A fabulous little air pump. I returned a different brand of air pump because it was intolerably loud. While all pumps claim to be quiet, this one is ACTUALLY nearly silent. I bought this as emergency aeration during an ich outbreak in my tank and I’m going to keep it running full time now because it’s much better aeration than my HOB filter and my female betta and tetras have no trouble with the current it creates, and it’s good for everyone in the tank (including the plants) to have more oxygenation. Ive only had it for a week now so I hope it lasts. For for the price, if it fails within a year, I’d just buy the same one again!

12/5/25: I am loving this pump so far for my 3 gallon tank attached to my sponge filter for my betta. It was easy to set up, functioning as it should and is actually very quiet. The video makes it sound louder than it actually is. The suction cup actually stays suctioned to the device and my tank. I had tubbing and a check valve already installed but it does come with it. The flow is perfect but can be adjusted if you buy a valve. The look is sleek and small design which is great for my small tank.

I'm still giving this five stars but technically I should take one off because it is not perfectly silent 100% of the time. However since it is silent most of the time I went ahead and gave five stars but just realized that sometimes it might give off a faint vibration like some pumps do so far this hasn't been an ongoing issue and I'm very satisfied with how small functional and quiet this aquarium pump is definitely a huge change from the large typical units that you find.

This little pump is pretty rad. I love how quiet it operates and the bubbles it puts out are tiny and the shrimp in our tank love it? The suction cup attachment made the install super quick. The price was just right too for this temporary tank.

Very quiet and runs my box filter with flow to spare, great fit for little betta tanks. Suction cup attaches well to tank. Great value for the little powerhouse. Have had no issues with durability after a month of use. Runs non stop and is never warm to the touch.

Bought this in July 2025 and it was plenty powerful and quiet with my small sponge filter. Have it in a 5 gallon betta tank. Recently it started to make a ton of noise and sounds like the motor is running out. The air is inconsistent now and will go in and out every other day. Ok for the money but dont expect it to last that long before being noisy or the motor running bad. I've only had it for 6 months but at $14 I cant complain too much and it is compact. Going to buy another one in case this one was faulty or a fluke and will update my review once I've tried it again.

I'll say that I'm pleased about the pump and what I paid for it. Switched out the hose after 3 days because... Similarly to other reviewers, the translucent "film" that is on the hose has disintegrated and spread throughout the tank. Thankfully most of it ended in the filter or substrate and I don't think any fish ate it. Aside from that, the pump is actually very quiet and discrete. Hoping it will last. I'll be trying it with two air stones soon - we'll see if it pumps strong enough for that.

small but mighty, quiet just what I wanted. very powerful air pump for its size, it is managing both filters well without the noise and vibration that my other pump was doing. Comes with what you need if you don't already have stuff. Great product great price.
