Worth it!
These provide excellent value for the price. They're smooth, easy to fill, and don't leak. They also look really nice and come in a protective case, which I didn't expect. It's not a fancy case at all, but hey- it's free! These do sometimes take a little writing to get started, but storing them point down (cap on, of course) helps to avoid that. Another downside is sometimes the caps take a little finagling to get them to post. To me, these two little quirks are not a problem at all, seeing as I paid so little for these. My Pilot Metropolitan and my Lamy Safari do work better than these pens, so if you're wanting an upgrade, either of those would be a good next step. But for a sturdy, inexpensive everyday writer, these are sure hard to beat!Update: 5 months in, the pens work as well as they did before, except that the lid tends to come off one of the pens when it's closed. They still look really nice, the finish has held up well. The case has held up well, too. The pens are the same, but my opinion has changed: if I were to go back in time (having experienced these pens) I would buy another Pilot Metropolitan or Lamy Safari instead of these. I find myself reaching for one of my "starts every time" pens more often than one of these, which may require a little prior scribbling. I wouldn't say I regret buying them, just that I wouldn't buy them again.

Really cheap, but works really well, can be modified to work with the Zebra G nib
I've always thought that fountain pens were cool, but as a kid I could only ever find the non-refillable disposable ones. I saw these as recommended, and was surprised how cheap they were. I did a little research and saw that people modified these as well to work with the Zebra G nib, and I was also able to do so. It didn't interrupt the flow as long as I didn't write too fast. I've included an image of it, but don't judge my style too much, I'm still learning, haha! However, you should be sure to use a decent paper with the Zebra G nib, since it's so thin, it tends to dig into the paper no matter what ink you use, and causes the ink to bleed into the paper. If you're using the standard medium nib that the Jinhao comes with, you shouldn't have any problems with this.I'd recommend this pen for anyone who is trying to reduce their plastic use, as pens (the typical non-reusable ones) are a decent amount of plastic. With these, if you're using the included ink converter, you can just continue to refill it with the same bottle of ink for quite some time. It might not be the best for those on the go, I'm not too sure how willing I would be to toss one of these into my bag with other items, for fear of leakage.

It has some hard starting (NOT OFTEN)
THIS IS A GREAT PEN to start with if you like heavier pens. This is more in the medium to heavy weight range, which feels very nice for people who prefer that. I think it is not too thick for people with smaller hands, and if you don't like the weight, don't post it. now for the cons, this pen has one major con: every time you stop writing for maybe 20 min, it will not write until you keep trying, and then the ink will start flowing. This is not a severe reason not to buy this pen, as it will start writing after about 5 seconds, but it is something to keep in mind. Overall, this is a fantastic pen for beginners, and this problem might not be with all of them, but if they fix that problem, it would be a 5-star.

Love these. Smooth writers & snap cap great for work
Can't remember if I had a choice of nib size but I have these in what seems like a medium. They make a large enough stroke that you can take advantage with shimmer inks with no problem.Heavy metal pen with cool designs, and the snap cap makes them great for work since I work at a computer & the pen is opened & closed often. Nice satisfying snap, too. Haven't had a problem with them drying up while stored either.

Simple and Elegant at a great price.
In recent years I have begun collecting fountain pens, starting with one (a Waterman) given as a gift to me by my grandmother. There is something about writing with a fountain pen that is just soothing to me. Anyhow, I ordered another Jinhao fountain pen a couple of years ago and it has been one of my favorites. It has a solid weight, feels durable, and also gets lots of compliments when people see it. They instantly assume it is very old, because very few people seem to use fountain pens anymore. I have run across multi-packs of these pens several times, but never a color combination or barrel style that I particularly care for, so when I ran across these, I just had to have them, and I was not disappointed. They are, like my first Jinhao, nicely weighted, sturdy, durable, and they look pretty damned good too. My 4 pack of choice came with the brushed silver, the black and silver check, the satin black, and what was described as lava red. I often have a hard time deciding which one I want to use. If you like fountain pens, and want to actually use them, but don't want to spend a fortune on the pen(s) or supplies, this is a great set, to start or add to your fountain pen collection.

Smooth, don't tinkerer with it though
Tried to swap the nib but would not stop leaking. It's very smooth and easy to refill, actually very high quality for just $9. It should be good as long as you don't tinker with it like meI bought this in freshman year but gave it away to some random girl in my class after she won a game in theatre class

Inex-PEN-sive Luxery
Not sure if this review can be associated with more than one product, but to clarify, I purchased a four pack of X750s.I love the pens! I have used one for about two weeks now, for daily writing and journaling. I am amazed at the quality and finish of the pens for $5 each. I bought the four pack so that if I do run in to any issues- I can simply switch to a different pen. So far that has not happened- I will be giving pens away to introduce others to the wonderful world of fountain pens. The included convertor works great and holds a good amount of ink.The only two things I would warn others of is-1. The pen is quite heavy if you plan to be writing in volume.2. I find that the cap sticks poorly to the end of the pen in "writing" position. It holds great when capped. I often simply leave the cap off when writing, this also helps with the weight of the pen.
