If the pictures don't make it clear, the book is pre-formatted to use as a bullet journal, or journal of some kind. Its first few pages are formatted as an index with labels for page numbers and context, before the grid dot formatted pages start. The pages are stiffer than most spiral notebooks, but still lay flat when pressed to make writing easy.I noticed some of the pages aren't exactly lined up with each other. The grids from page to page aren't perfectly in line. But they seem to be level with the book itself, so you're writing isn't going to be lopsided.

I got this as a gift and I was sad the pen holder broke off almost immediately. I think it was only the second use. It’s just been glued under the paper part of the backing rather than stitched or riveted so it popped out. I don’t think I can return it because they’ve already used it and won’t want to send it to the company. Which is understandable, I wouldn’t want to send back a journal I’ve written in either, lol.Otherwise the look of it is great, I love the soft touch of the hard cover if that makes sense. The paper seems nice and the dots aren’t too light or dark. I will say though it doesn’t really lay flat, which I hoped it would. I also still worry about the binding and general durability now. :/Worth it for a budget journal I suppose but disappointed part of it broke so quick.Edit: taken down a star because the strap holding it shut broke right after this review. -_-

Pages bleed right through! I bought this based off the good reviews but I should have listened to the bad ones. Subpar journal at best.

Beautiful color, feels like great quality. Cover is super smooth.

The book is sturdy. The leather is very smooth. You get 160 pages on which to journal. The first four pages are dedicated to the Table of Contents or Topic. Sadly, the pen/pencil holder broke last week. Now, the large strap broke today.
