Absolutely a fine as coffee strainer
Here are a couple of close-up photos of the mesh bottom. Many of the listings on Amazon don’t have a very good view of how it looks and that it’s concave. Well, it’s convex on the inside, but when I flip the filter over on top of a small container like a jar it’s concave. This is actually a feature I like. Being that I can flip this coffee filter basket upside down on top of a jar or small cup that doesn’t have a handle gives clever alternative use. Nobody seems to have mentioned.Use your imagination, as it’s possible to pour small amount of liquid into jar or tall Tumblr filtering out unwanted particles or foreign objects.Doesn’t have to be used just solely used for the expressed purpose. I’ve even found it Ness nicely into Pyrex measuring cup. I didn’t put my coffee grounds in there and under my singleserve Keurig machine to allow hot water pour through making excellent espresso. In the Pyrex, measuring cup, set up, allows the basket to be dipped in the scalding water thus giving stronger end result when baskets pulled away. Sure beats buying a whole new Keurig coffee maker when I can use my singleserve to make a pot of joe. This filter’s mesh catches even very finely ground powdered tea, not allowing grains to go through into my final resulting cup of tea. This is something I had really been searching for, but had not realized these, Mr. coffee style reusable baskets are on par with the disposable paper basket filters. Also, I use kitchen funnel meant for refilling containers with dry rice and greens for nesting this basket over top of cup or container, holding it in place while straining liquids of different types.I may even try using it for broth etc. highly recommend. Looks like if cared for well and cleaned soon after each use it will last years. Fair price was around seven or eight dollars when I purchased. Seems to be the same dimensions for the Mr. coffee maker. Can always layer filter paper on the bottom or fully lining, the inside to slow down rate of hot water filtering through.

Excellent item
Fits my HB coffemaker perfectly. So much better than the paper filters, which affect the taste of the coffee. Will likely last for the life of my coffeemaker. Worthwhile purchase.

Not ideal for the HB BrewStation
This filter doesn’t quite fit in the Hamilton Beach BrewStation. When it’s resting inside, you can’t close the lid all the way. It also leaves silt in the bottom of the coffeemaker and your mug, so it’s not filtering quite as well as some others I’ve used. It has held up well though, so if these things don’t bother you, it’s worth a try.

Excellent Filter
This brand is the best I've used over the years. Works great and easiest to clean. Each are tailor made for different size coffee makers so be careful what size you order. Shipping is fast and the price is reasonable.

Fits Hamilton Beach flex brew
So far so good. I found a lightly used Hamilton beach flex brew at the thrift store and needed this basket. It is small for the machine but fits enough grounds for a full pot. The machine brews just fine.

Better than the stainless type
Okay I have something very valuable to share here. This screen filter makes coffee that taste 10 times better than the stainless steel filter I got here on Amazon...No kidding people~! I did not like my the brand coffee made with the same amounts of water to coffee with the stainless filter because it was bitter. Not so with these filters. I should of stayed with this filter that I have used in my Hamilton Beach coffee makers for years. Some of us just have to learn the hard way. OMG I got this filter after my prime bucks for 3 dollars something... this is what I call value for the moneyAs far as fitting your coffee pot? The bottom line it will fit. These filter will outlast the typical life of most any coffee pot from my practical experience. If you don't get one of these and plan to use paper filter I would say that is not the best choice that can be made. These are the easiest to use and clean as well, So be smart and use the permanent filter buy not the stainless ... this one ~!
