I bought this for a religious fast that I do once a month. Tasted very good and delicious. I had soaked the sabudana overnight but that was a mistake. Based on reviews people had posted that they are very hard and do not soften up even after soaking for a long time I decided to go with public opinion and soaked two cups of sabudana in a pot full of water at night intending to cook it in the morning. Everything went as planned except that the sabudana had become mashed potatoes by the morning!! Next time I will soak it only for a few hours like 2-4 hours, check and see and if they are still hard will soak them a little more. Once they are soft I will immediately drain the water and use them for cooking. A very quick recipe which is delicious and filling is take one tablespoon of ghee in a pan, chop one green chilly very fine, grind half a cup to one cup peanuts (coarse grind) and a few curry leaves and throw them into the pan with the ghee. Let these ingredients cook on low to medium heat and once you get the aroma of the curry leaves and the peanuts start turning brown add the already soft sabudana to it, stir for a few seconds very gently, turn off the gas/heat, add salt and eat. The sabudana must already have been soaked beforehand, drained and soft before putting it in the pan. Enjoy!

On Pinterest I discovered "Bubble Tea" and then went searching for large pearl tapioca to make it with. The Rani brand is delicious and the company is top-notch. Don't forget to buy bubble tea straws as the large pearl tapioca will not go through a regular-sized straw! I even made my own concoction of a cherry/vanilla dessert with it (just started throwing things together) and it was wonderful.

The Sabudana/ Sago are looking nice and big. However haven’t used it yet to comment in the cook time.

This was my first time buying Sago, and the taste is very off putting and strong. No matter what fruits and flavors u pair it with, the taste over powers everything. Idk if it's just this brand, or just Sago in general ??!

I never tried large tapioca pearls. It was very easy and made a great pudding.

This is the second time this product was delivered to me with the tapioca pearls spilled all inside the shipping package. The first time the tapioca bag was delivered in a box, with the pearls poured out throughout. This time it came in a shipping bag instead of a box, but the main package was STILL completely opened with the pearls all spilled out. There was no rip in the shipping bag, just the product bag was open. (The attached photo shows you exactly how the package came—-completely OPEN.) The manufacturer has done a poor job in packaging, but unfortunately I like the product so I keep ordering it. Last time Amazon made good on my purchase, and I hope they do this time as well, because I discarded the pearls due to their unsanitary conditions. Is it really that difficult or expensive to obtain a decent bag for a product??? Such a waste. And such a hassle to contact Amazon to make it right. Hopefully the manufacturer improves on it.

The spices, Tapioca were fresh!The fragrance of the spices are the best because of their freshness their packaging is superb not one item I ordered from Rani came in cracked or broken. I will recommend Rani products to everyone.
