Strong flavors! Be prepared.
There are a lot of reviews complaining about the flavor. It is not broth/soup you buy at your local grocery store. This has a very strong flavor so be prepared. I do not mind the strong flavor, I add salt, butter and a splash of cream to the cup. I use it as a meal replacement since I struggle to get enough daily calories & protein. I like this so much better than chocolate/vanilla protein powders. No funny fake sugar after taste! Just remember, it's not your traditional broth/soup. Oh yeah, it also has some grit. However, I don't mind! :)

really is Beyond broth..
..after reading dr tom obryans book we are looking to heal our gut and joints..i used this to add to my regular broth in my soup. .it was tasty and added some nice thickness..as far as the prop warning..it made me nervous when i read the review mentioning it but i really couldnt find another product like it.. So i went to their site and felt very at ease..it appears to be a basic cover your @$ s. Thing..there are naturally occurring things that can prompt the warning...and some other companies products vould carry the same but they choose to take the risk that their product could get sold to Ca...so go to their site and read the reason behind it and i think you will feel fine about it.. I will update...so far we are two weeks in to a no wheat/dairy/sugar trial ..but now understand that you ALSO have to add good bacteria..feed that bacteria and heal the leaky gut..we are using this and Zink carnisine and aloe juice to do that..and so far feelin pretty darn good!

Fantastic products
I love the beef much more than the chicken. That's just my personal taste. I will continue buying the beef broth though

Comforting to Drink
I love this stuff; I'm on my 4th order now. The taste reminds me a bit of the old fashioned dry chicken soup mix to which you add water. You do have to stir it a bit as you drink it to keep it well mixed, but I don't mind that. The last couple of sips can be a wee harsh because it's so concentrated from settling - remember to keep it stirred to reduce this. This contains Type I & II collagen and comes in other flavors. I tried the Spicy Beef version early on and that one was a definite no-go for me, so I stick with the chicken variety. I really enjoy this product overall; it's very comforting to drink.

Good thing it’s healthy and good for you, huh?
It’s horrible. No joke! I added water stirred and wondered what i’d done wrong. I did not want to throw it away, so being that I like a challenge, I said let me help it out some. I added veggies, garlic and onion bits, a can of cream of chicken soup, two cans of rotel tomatoes, a can of cabbage, some better than bouillion and some bouillon base powder, noodles, Italian meatballs, mixed veggies of corn, green beans, red pepper, onion, green peas, and carrots, and you know what? I rinse the better than buillion jar with some of the pot liquor and then added it to the pot. I tasted it, and although it’s edible, it has to be the worst thing I’ve ever tasted hands down. I was gonna add some butter cause butter makes it better hahahahaha, but I didn’t want to waste the butter. I sat down and had a half a cup and the best thing about it was the fact that it was steaming hot. 😂 I know Amazon will not post this, but it’s ok and also true! great quality bone broth
I love the powder broth. comes in various flavors and I don't have to store it in the fridge. It needs salt when you use it, but it dissolves well.

Good Nutrition - My Body Does Not Complain
This is my new "go to" broth when I am feeling a little peckish. I have tried chicken and beef flavor. They are nothing like sodium rich, artificially flavored bouillon, and might take a little tweaking. Your favorite curry and a little chili powder might be good in the chicken. Some garlic juice and oregano might be nice in the beef. It does not taste like homemade, but it is tasty and nutritious.

May Have Benefits But I Don't Care For The Chicken Broth Taste Or Additives Like Bone Meal From Calves Not Raised Organically
I drink homemade bone broth and also buy unfortified organic bone broth to sip or use as a base for soups. Bone broth is so popular right now as it may improve digestion and inflammation, boost the immune system and possibly treat or prevent cancer. Critics say health claims are overblown and nutritional value varies based on the type of bones used and preparation. In theory, I like that Jarrow Formulas "Beyond Bone Broth" is fortified with minerals like calcium and other ingredients to bolster nutritional value. But I've also learned from Jarrow customer service that this chicken flavored broth contains calf bone meal and bovine tracheal cartilage. These may have health benefits (those with cancer may want to research bovine tracheal cartilage), but bone meal from calves or cows not raised organically can be heavy in toxins (per Livestrong) that I don't want to consume. Based on the label, I assume the bone meal isn't from grass fed or organically raised calves, and it's off putting to me even if it has nutritional value. Also, this broth doesn't seem like a true chicken bone broth, and I also don't really care for the taste. Perhaps I'm too used to the taste of homemade stock or the simple organic bone broth I buy. But this broth has more coconut milk and "natural flavors" than "natural chicken broth" (the third ingredient) and tastes like a lightly seasoned though bland coconut drink instead of chicken bone broth. This has "natural chicken broth" that isn't organic, though the broth has some organic vegetable powders (carrot, onion and celery). The broth has additives like "natural flavors", tapioca dextrin and corn starch that I wouldn't put in my bone broth. The label makes it clear this is a supplemented product, but it's just too far "Beyond Bone Broth" for me in light of additions like the calf bone meal that I wasn't savvy enough to recognize from the label. I generally trust the Jarrow brand and can't say that this broth wouldn't be therapeutic, tasty or good for others, but it's not right for me. Note: The Jarrow site lists different ingredients than are listed on the product I received. For example, it lists "natural chicken broth" as the first ingredient when it's the third on my label. Jarrow customer service said their ingredient list reflects the most current product, so perhaps I received an old formulation. I'm attaching a photo of the ingredients from the container I received to make clear which product I'm reviewing in case the ingredients are different than a product received by others.
