Reasonabley priced cushion which increases the comfort of my wheelchair. Like the brake extenders, it is too bad that the manufacturer just didn't make it part of the wheelchair since it makes the chair much more comfortable.

Finally, a pillow that fits my chair. And it’s gel, so very comfy for long periods of chair-sitting. Plus- it’s portable,usable in other chairs, bleachers and other hard surface seating. Well made and worth the money.

Very sturdy, well sized seat. Feels a bit firm at first, may soften with time. A bit heavy, but a guessing it will hold up. I wish the fabric was softer, but it is easy to clean and very strong, heavy

My Mom had been using various foam / gel wheelchair cushions but all would result in sitting fatigue, tailbone soreness, etc. The design of this cushion is different, the gel bladder under the foam helps reposition support very effectively, unlike all the other cushions out there. She has not complained of soreness for the first time in years since using the cushion, and isn’t affected at all by pavement cracks and bumps when going outside anymore. This is a product that really helps people who sit in wheelchairs for longer periods of time in my experience, and helps take away an unnecessary extra problem she had to deal with for years.

This was just what I needed for long hours at my PC. The grey side grips my chair really well so it doesn't slide around. The gel inside makes it very comfortable and you can tell it will last a very long time just by the weight of it. It weighs almost 6 pounds! The cover is made well and has a good zipper on it so you can remove it for washing. I bought the 20"x16"x3" version and it is the perfect size for my chair. I would suggest you measure your chair and select the size accordingly. I was going to get the Forever Comfy cushion, but after seeing all the bad reviews about poor quality and how people got soaked on the price by having to pay double shipping whether they want 2 or not. I'm glad I got this one instead.

Unless you've spent long periods of time in a wheelchair (I certainly have), you won't understand how practical these seat cushions are. I had received one (by another manufacturer) many years ago, as a gift. But it was finally at the end of its life. My local medical-supply vendor carried the Drive Medical cushion, but this Amazon merchant beat that price by about $50! The cushion is encased in a removable zipper bag for easy cleaning. The bag's top surface is dark blue nylon, and doesn't exhibit much friction; when you need to change position, you can easily slide along it. the bottom surface is rubbery and grips surfaces well, so the cushion will stay in place, even when you move around on it. The cushion is a good inch thicker than my previous version, and the gel cushioning is very responsive -- it compresses when you sit on it, but regains its original contours within moments after you vacate it. It's a relatively heavy item, so the attached fabric handle is a plus; rather than trying to get a grip on the cushion, you just grab the handle and hoist it up. Of course, the key consideration is comfort -- and this cushion excels. I've sat in my wheelchair for 4 or 5 hours at a clip, and experienced no discomfort whatever.

The pad is very nice but is too heavy and thick for us. For someone who is wheelchair bound it is a excellent product to use. It’s just appropriate for our needs.

I got this cushion for my dad to use in his wheelchair and in regular arm chairs. It is great in the wheelchair. Super comfortable, very dense gel cushion which really distributes the weight well. The cushion itself is surprisingly heavy and has a handle loop on the side to help carry it. The bottom of the cushion has a slightly rubbery feel which helps it grip the chair and keeps it from shifting, while the blue top cover is more like a windbreaker material which is very slippery so it is easy for him to shift his weight. HOWEVER, when this cushion is in a regular chair, as he leans a bit over the table to eat, the cushion compresses so he starts to slide forward. For now, we will only be using this in his wheelchair - but it is a great cushion.

excellent! supports heavy weight, maintains firmness, covered so it can be wiped clean. iIt does however add height from the base of chair seat so one would be sitting higher up, which was perfect for our scenario. highly recommend
