All true, although these were small sardines, less than 2". Nonetheless, the can is packed tightly to the sides so you get the same amount of fish or more than you usually find in a can. I love them. The online sardine review article I read that recommended this brand described horrors in cleanliness and quality of ALL the major brands of sardines that you can find at the grocery store. Sardines are very nutritious, low carb, and convenient. The price per can is around $3 a can, while some good sardines are around $6, so these are a value if you want high quality sardines. I will reorder these.

Solid texture. Not mushy. Decent taste. Keep in mind that sardines do taste better packed in oil than in water.

This is a great snack without the salt (and sugar) of some poorer choices. There are no scales on these sardines, there is no detectable bone to chew on and no low-quality olive or soybean oil. Just the good stuff! They're a beautiful silver color. Very tender fish and not overly fishy tasting or smelling for me.

I have been consuming the King Oscar brand sardines for years. Definitely my all time favorite choice of sardines. I love its tiny size and delicate texture. It comes with the skins on, tastes very fresh, the odor or its taste is better than the other brands i've tried.

I love King Oscar products and order them often. I waited a month for these to be delivered due to being out of stock, and received them this evening. They were boxed with one end of the box open, inside a heavy duty paper shipping bag, and when unpacking them to put them away, the first can was bubbled - I could see and feel it when I picked it up, even through the plastic wrapping. All the other 11 cans looked perfectly fine but I noticed a second bloated can that had a bubbled top. Nothing was leaking from any of then. I suspect this was just a canning glitch. Amazon was unable to process a partial credit or replacement, and refunded the order. I really am disappointed, but Amazon is always great, and I will continue to order the King Oscar products since this has never happened before.

Very disappointing. I was a big King Oscar fan. But these sardines were not up to the usual King Oscar standard. The fish were mushy and the taste was off putting. I eat sardines regularly and have tried dozens of different tins. I will not be buying these again.
