Fast and effective against chapped, dry, cracked lips. And the scent/flavour is not overpowering.

good lip protection initally but I seemed to have a reaction to it
Lip balm is an important addition to my bag when I go in to hospital especially if there is a chance that I might be put on oxygen via a mask. Your lips will dry out, crack and become sore very quickly. A good lip balm helps prevent this from happening.I will admit that I had not noticed the Carmex lip balms before this so I had no idea what to expect from this stick of balm.It is much thicker than the Nivea ones I usually use though it did give a good coating it felt a little patchy - a little too heavier in places. The balm protected my lips nicely and stopped the cracking and splitting - which is the most important thing to me.The "flavour" was citrusy, but not unpleasantly so.This is obviously a quallity lip balm and I would great consideration as to whether or not to buy another Carmex or a Nivea one when this one starts to run down.*** UPDATE ***I initially thought that this was a good lip balm - a bit too thick with a strange sensation but it seemed ok. To be honest I was that impressed that I immediately requested different "flavours".After a short usage I found that the Carmex was making my sore, swollen and raw - I am obviously having a reaction to one or more of the ingredients. It is such a shame because initially it seemed to work so well. Oh well, these things happen.

Very moisturising
I've always heard good reviews about Carmex but this is the first time I'd tried the lip balm sticks. They moisturise so well - much better than other brands I have, so if you have dry chapped lips or want them to be moisturised this product is a great choice. The lime scent is really nice for me too. It's fairly strong, and may not be everyone's taste but I like it. It's nice and fruity. The lip balm does tingle quite a lot when you first put it on, something I haven't experienced as much with other brands - I'm not sure if it's down to the flavour or with all Carmex. It's not a big issue for me though. The size of the lol balm is small and handy to carry in your bag. This is a duo pack but includes two separate packages rather than being a pack with two sticks in.It's good value and a decent product, I would recommend

Lovely, long-lasting product that gives great protection.
I'd not come across Carmex before being offered the chance to review it - so this is part of my first adventure with their products. Like vaseline, it has a petroleum base, but then there are a wide variety of additional ingredients that give this lip balm the extra staying power and protection that vaseline lacks. The various vaseline lip products have been my go-to lip balms for a long time and I have always been disappointed at their lack of staying power. This Carmex product leaves them for dead. I suspect it is the bees' wax - and they have done well to get the right consistency - smooth and flowing. I've tried Burt's Bees lip balm in the past and the texture and (lack of) flow was really poor. These Carmex folks have really done their homework and come up with a very effective product. As for the aesthetics - it feels lovely and smooth on the lips. The menthol tingle lasts for ages. The smell is sweet and citrusy - and not overwhelming. When I saw the dreaded word 'parfum' in the ingredient list I was a little concerned, as it is usually nasty stuff that gives me headaches - but either this is a different variety, or there is enough of the other ingredients to mask it, as I've had no problems at all. I like, also, that it has some sun protection in it. On the occasional days that constitute summer in the UK, it will come in very handy.

I love the tingling sensation and the smell!
I love Carmex products as not only do they moisturise and hydrate your lips effectively but they also provide a mentholated tingling sensation that I love. This click stick balm is much better than I had expected as most sticks tend to be stiff when applying and do not provide vast amounts of moisturise, yet the texture from this balm is almost like a soft beeswax and once applied it has a sheen like lip gloss. The lime smell is really nice, its adds a tropical hint that reminds me of something from my childhood...I'm not sure what it is but it makes me smile whenever I smell it.For me, this is another great addition to the Carmex range that I'm pretty sure will fast become my favourite.
