No, it does not. I purchased 100' feet of 3/8 " nylon line and a 4" float and a brass clasp to complete the set up. I have not seen one for sale that dd include the line.

Per the length of your boat and of course the weight of your boat. But it dont use strong currents because thats hard to predict. I know I use it for the boat club and it works well with 24-28ft boats. its a good buy good buy
