Love this game…but it’s not Camel Up
Love this game! If you are wanting a game just like the original Camel Up then this is not it. The only thing that is similar between the original and Off Season is the camel theme.This was not a game I sought out but when we found it 50% off at our local game store we decided to give it a try. We love it. The bidding on who starts reminds me of 5 Tribes. The selecting your market reminds me of Puerto Rico or Citadels. The press your luck part of it can remind me of Take 5. All these mechanics we love in the other games and have loved them combined in this game. Played it twice the first day we had it because one game wasn’t enough.The game was super fast and easy to learn and play. I will caveat this with we love board games and so the mechanics felt familiar. It might take a bit more to get if you’re not very familiar with these types of mechanics but still I think most people will catch on quickly.
