I don't know what it is, but something in this oil smells a bit odd when I first put it on. However, after wearing it for an hour or so, whatever that is fades away and I'm left with a nice rose scent. It lasts a long time.

I really wanted to support this small business and I really wanted to like this product but I just can’t. As other reviews have noted, the bottle leaks and the scent is odd and off-putting. It smells like they dissolved soap and mixed it with oil and put that in a bottle. I tried to wash it off but the odor of it persisted into the next day. This item will be returned immediately. Don’t waste your money and don’t listen to the reviews that say it smells great - it doesn’t.

Lovely rose scent - oil that lasts several hours on the skin. Little rollerball in the container which is conveniently sized to fit in a small purse.

This rose oil perfume is easy to apply (roll on) and has a delicate, real rose scent which subtly lingers for hours. Very happy with this purchase. I've received many compliments on the fragrance -- it's different from the usual colognes and perfumes that women often wear. And my husband likes it, too! I've purchased it again, in a larger size. If you like the scent of roses, you won't go wrong with this -- give it a try!
