My 9 year old got this for Christmas and loves it. He loves science in general and this keeps him busy. Some stuff is a bit messy but does have some cool experiments in it.

Christmas gift for grandson and very loved by him! He just turned 8 years old and his parents supervise when needed. Experiments are fun while they learn science concepts.

My 10 year old daughter loved erupting the volcano and growing glow-in-the-dark crystals—it felt like watching her discover a whole new world. The instructions are easy to follow, the materials are kid-safe, and the activities are designed to build confidence and spark imagination. I love that it includes real rocks, minerals, and fossils, adding a hands-on learning element that feels special and authentic. Great for rainy days, school projects, or just plain fun. Highly recommend for kids who are curious about how things work or who just love a little bit of magic in their life. My daughter needs my help and supervision to complete the experiments. There were a few experiments that didn't work out as planned and an ingredient bag was missing from the box when we received it. Many of the experiments are quite time consuming and have a long waiting period to see results.

Purchased as a gift for my 6 yo granddaughter. She absolutely loves it. She is homeschooled so this gift combines fun and educational value.

My 8-year-old son has been having a blast with this kit, which he got for Christmas. There is always something that he needs help to clean up completely afterwards, but he has gotten comfortable enough with reading the directions that he can be pretty self-directed and clean up most of the mess himself (mostly scattered powdered from when he opens bags or is pouring things and spills but also liquid spills when we erupted the volcano). He's also learned a lot about measuring from the experiments. (I don't think he had ever measured a liquid in a beaker or measuring cup before.) He gravitates toward the chemistry experiments the most. He keeps showing the crystal he grew to anyone who visits our house, so I think that has been one of his favorite experiments. On the mess part, just be aware that you will want to use a surface that is easy to clean. We've been using our tile floor and even sometimes doing experiments outside, weather permitting. Also, the company was very responsive when we thought we were missing items from our kit (many of which we later found that another family member had mixed in with their Christmas gifts) and responded immediately. So, extra star for fantastic customer service.

A fantastic deal for an elementary kid to practice and explore the various sciences! We homeschool and enjoyed it so much we bought another kit for my nephews!
