Great for engineering and physics majors
A great way to build conceptional knowledge of College/AP physics for general phys 1-3. If you're really interesting in learning about what is going on, I recommend getting one of these if they're optional for your class. The only issue is that you'll have to find a source for solutions, because it's not overly helpful without them.

looks new!
It both looks new and has all the pages and most importantly it is so fairly priced.

The content of the workbook is OK as there are ...
The content of the workbook is OK as there are a few linguistic mistakes here and there. The content is not very extensive but there is plenty of it. It's a required book for my class and it works, but the book could have had more "context-rich" problems of incorporating concepts into one problem rather than incorporating a single concept in a problem and then moving on. I have to say that it is quite scummy to charge extra for the answers to these problems as it digs a deeper hole into pockets of college students of which are already deep.

Great tool
This book is a great tool for uncovering weak points in your understanding.

Fine Book. NOT for Home Educators
Abbreviated version: If you are a home educator and are determined to use this book, purchase it directly from the publisher. I don't recommend that.Context: We are academics. I have home educated for eight years and taught at the university level previously. We have high expectations of our resources and those that produce them. After significant research we purchased Physics: A Strategic Approach for Scientist and Engineers (4th ed.) and the accompanying workbook to aid in home educating our advanced tenth grader. The text is well-organized and thorough, although we expected more based on the reviews and other textbooks we have used in the past. My son has enjoyed the concepts and principles; he is one of the few who has deep appreciation for textbooks. He spent hours just lounge-reading it during the summer. When he dived into the student workbook, he felt like the problems were sufficient but didn't compare to the "fun" example problems in the text. (i.e. It's not as creative as Art of Problem Solving material--which we highly recommend). He learns well by working through the problems then comparing multiple ways it could have been solved otherwise. Here's our problem. We home educate. The workbook clearly states in the introduction that you can access the PDF solutions after purchase. In order to receive that PDF, though, Pearson (the publisher) requires that you be verified by an institution that they list in their drop-down menu. I spent hours with their customer service on the phone, via chat, and through email. Since I am not verified by an outsourced organization, they didn't believe that I could use the book. They continually sent me to their partner Savvas who generally works with homeschooling families--but only on high school and below material. Savvas did their best to aid us, but they didn't have access to the PDF or even the Physics book because it is university level. I explained this many times to Pearson, sent my order number, sample problems my son had completed, and even offered to sign an agreement to not share the PDF. I offered to write the agreement if needed. In the end, they told me that they wouldn't share the PDF because I hadn't bought it directly through them, wasn't verified, and didn't have my son enrolled in one of their classes. We are disappointed in how all of this was handled. I expect more from educational publishers. It took them almost a month to conclude that they couldn't help us. I'm frustrated that I spent so much time researching, spent almost $500 on this, and now have little positive to share aside from the book being sufficient, but not excellent.

No solutions
There's no solutions included in the back of it. How is this supposed to help someone?

Super Buy
A great workbook for aspiring engineers and scientists. It has some challenging questions while testing basic knowledge and understanding. It is much better than the ones I had 45 years ago when I first took advanced physics.

utile complemento
Utile complemento al libro di testo. Gli esercizi sono un po' più facili rispetto a quelli del testo, ma sono ordinati molto bene per far apprendere le abilità richieste nell'ordine dalle più semplici alle più complesse.
