BOSCH 17A ICON Premium Beam Wiper Blade; 17" - Single

If you have a B15 Nissan Sentra (2000-2006), THIS - the 17A - is the correct blade for the passenger side, not the 16A as listed in the Bosch and Amazon catalogs. I replaced a cheap set of NAPA blades, which at least had the correct length (17") for the passenger side, with these nice blades from Bosch. World of difference - highly recommended. The 22A is the correct blade for the driver side, and there is plenty of clearance between them when installed and when in use. PROS: These blades seem well made, they are very quiet, and they wipe extremely well - much better than others I've tried. Very easy to install - much easier than it was to remove the old ones. Wipers are an important safety item - it's worth it to get good ones like these. Also, it seems very likely these will last longer than the cheap ones, so if you factor that in, the price is a bit easier to bear. CONS: Well, the price seems high for wiper blades, but as mentioned they ARE better than cheaper blades. The connector that attaches to the wiper arm is plastic - hard to tell how long that will last. Even the 17 inch Icons are a bit shorter than the NAPAs they replaced. The blade itself is the same length, but the rubber wiping part does not extend to the end of the blade's frame, as it did on the cheap blades. That means a little less wiping area, maybe a half inch or so. So that makes it even that much more important to use these rather than the 16As. I read in one of the reviews for one size of Bosch Icon blades that the B models are for the passenger side - that is bad information. The 17A is the correct blade, at least for the Sentra. Perhaps the B models are for a different size bayonet connector? I don't know.

The other day, I was in a torrential downpour, and noticed something that had been true for so long now I'd stopped noticing it: my wipers are fantastic. I started trying to remember when I bought them. They were definitely the longest running wipers I've ever had, but I didn't know when I bought them. Was it pre-Covid? Couldn't be; that was a whole year ago and I've never had any wipers last longer than 6 months (and if we're being honest with each other, they all should have been replaced earlier). Well, I just checked my order history, and discovered that I bought them in March 2019. More than two years ago. And on one car, they are still delivering the same streak free, total cleaning they provided on day one. On the other, they are just now starting to show signs of wear and are ready to be replaced. Two years! And we park outside in northern NJ, so that included a decent amount of snow this winter! With one just now starting to go, I'm going to replace all of them. The only thing I'm going to research is if there's an even better version of this exact blade, and if not, I'm getting this exact blade again for all five wipers we have. Just absolutely a fantastic product. I cannot believe how fast I used to churn through other blades before buying these. Worth every single penny for the upgraded quality and longevity.

This brand is absolutely the best when it comes to windshield wiping. It cleans so well whether it's rain or bird poop or debris. It even wipes up dried bird poop that are hard to clean. Other wipers tend to leave residue from wiping dried bird poop and can only partially clean them but these blades seem to just get rid of everything. Wonder how long it'll last but I plan on buying these blades from now on. It's definitely worth the money. No streaks. Just clear view.
