A great gift for graduating person.
This is a very nice pen. Made in the USA. Very comfortable to write with. Very affordable. I have a monte blanc pen and a Waterman pen, and this cross pen is just as nice and comfortable.

Probably the best rollerball ever
This pen is a bit heavy, but nothing I'm not used to. It's very large, what can be called an over-sized pen. It gives a more comfortable grip for the fingers and kind of screams out luxury at the same time. The pen is of solid construction. It uses a gel rolling ball refill which is better than ordinary rollerball pens because it doesn't use straight liquid ink which could leaf or echo to the other side of the page. The writing is smoother than any other type of pen I've used, gel or otherwise, and closely compares to top-notch fountain pens when it comes to smoothness. The lines it creates on paper are very deep in color and bold to some extent so that your writing stands out on the page. Easy operation, easy maintenance, and nothing but quality, performance, and luxury in this Cross pen...I highly recommend it.

Elegant, Substantial, and Smooth--A Great Pen
I've owned many pens over the years. I enjoy the act of writing, and so the feel of the instrument is important to me--both in terms of how it rests in my hand and how it moves across the paper. Then I also want something that looks nice. I have owned three Montblancs in my life. I mention that because when people think of a nice pen, that's what they often have in mind. I love my MBs. But this is the pen I carry with me to work every day.Part of that is because I'm not quite so terrified of losing it as I am with something that costs five times (or more) than this. But it is also because this pen is just a joy to use. It feels substantial and, for my money, has an elegance that strikes just the right note--neither too flashy nor too tame. And the cross ink refills ensure the ink will glide (as a roller ball should) across the paper. It's no lightweight pen, so be sure you want something with some heft to it. And it isn't thin, as you might think of Cross pens as being, so be sure you want a pen like a small cigar (like a Montblanc, for example). But if that's what you want (and I do), then this is a very nice pen. It will last you a long time.Or, if you are forgetful, you can lose it three or four times and STILL have money left from what you would have spent on that MB.

Better than my Mont Blanc.
Beautiful finish. Well-balanced. I bought this in a great sale. I’ve wanted a Townsend for 30 years — admittedly because we share the name. But it really is the best pen I own.

Surprised me.
Let me explain my background before I go into detail about who I love this pen. First off, I'm in the military, and I'm deployed, so you KNOW my uniforms get a little roughed up every now and then... Well, I really love this pen, because I've had it in my "Pen pocket" on my sleeve ever since I bought it about two months ago. It doesn't have a single scuff, dent or other markings. I'm not going to say it's quite up to army standard, but it sure can take a beating! This pen is really beautiful also. I got it for me, because I was tired of pens going dry or not working, and this pen has yet to fail me. Even though I use it everyday for countless papers, it still hasn't run out of ink.Another thing is, it's very well balanced. The weight of it feels good in your hand. Not like "too heavy to write" but more like "the weight brings the perfect pressure for beautiful handwriting."I really haven't found one bad thing to say about this pen yet. It's been two months and still going strong and beautifully. I really couldn't ask for anything better for my hard earned money!

Disappointed of its durability
I have bought this rollerball in August 2022 and has a beautiful writing line and it is a pleasure to write with this instrument. Unfortunately, the brooch that allows you to adjust the Rollerballl to the shirt pocket has been ruined very soon and looks dazzled and with spots that are impossible to clean, and that has only been in my shirt or on the desk. It is a pity that such a beautiful object of deterioration very soon.

Cross pens are my goto and they make great writing instruments!
It’s a Cross so not much to say. These rollerball pens write really smooth. Great gift and if you like pens with weight this is the right writing tool for u! Chrome is also timeless and sharp.

Townsend
Cross Townsend pens are the best of the Cross line of pens. I have a large collection of pens. With at least 30 are Cross. 8 are Townsend pens. When Cross added the .5mm refill for Rollerball pens, they came one of my favorites. I have Parker, Waterford, Waterman, Scheaffer and Mont Blanc pens.
