Cross Ballpoint Refill, Medium Black, 2 per card, (8513-2)

The r4efills write well, but it doe not come with the cap on it. I think the pen I purchase for needs that cap.

I have a gold-plated Cross ballpoint pen from the 80's. I needed a new ink refill. The two pack black ink refills arrived in the original packaging and I was delighted that it fit the old twist top model The black ink is fresh and the nib produces ink thickness somewhere between fine and medium, so I was pleased that I ordered the medium nib because I wanted strong, clear letters but not too thick. Another reviewer mentioned similar.

I had to change out the inserts in a couple of my pens because I started working in Healthcare and had to have black ink. I find that these inserts write very smooth and dry quickly without smearing. Overall I'd consider them a great value for the money!
