Tastes great!
I love eating sun flower kernels without having to make my way through the outer husk. These have consistently tasted great! Only downside is some flax (thin outer shell of the kernel) that comes out of the bag, and some extra salt, making a slight mess when I eat them. Oh well! I still go though a bag every couple of days.

Don’t purchase
Product was to expire July 3026. We received 2 pkgs in June and BOTH were stale. I couldn’t eat either. Ordered them earlier in the year and same problem. This product is awesome when it is fresh but these last 3 pkgs were terrible.

Has anyone else noticed these seem to be stale lately?
Hey, I've ordered these 6 times (multiple in the box) and the first 4 boxes were all 5 Stars. Then, my last box had 2-3 bags that tasted stale. And my latest box delivered yesterday? Well, I opened 2 bags thus far and have thrown both of them out due to an extremely stale flavor. This makes me so sad because with my current diet, these are my "treat"! And I've loved David's sunflower seeds since I was 5 years old. (Yes, they were a treat for me back then too!) And I'm not sure why now their quality seems to be suffering. I plan on trying another bag tonight and will update my post after I see how it goes :-\ :::fingers crossed

Open sunflower seed packs
We have ordered these many times with no problems. Problem this order (March 2026) was the individual packs were all open on the back seam. We poured them in an air-tight bowl. One pack was dried out and was disposed.

Buyer beware of previous storage and date codes when purchasing these sunflower seeds.
I’m a fan of David sunflower seeds: However these I have purchased this time some of the packages are great but some of them are rancid. Date code 12-2025
