Leviton 2-Pole 3-Wire Grounding Plug, 10 Pack, 3W101-E, Black

This was everything it was advertised to be. Used it to repair a portable dishwasher chord. I would definitely buy this again, super easy to use.

I'm a musician in several band with lots of gear to transport, setup and maintain. AC power distribution is always a challenge and our power cables take a lot of abuse. The molded NEMA 5-15P plugs on many of our AC power cables are particularly damage-prone, and finding a replacement plug that is durable, affordable and reasonably compact has been a challenge. So, I've just retrofitted three of these new plugs onto 14AWG cables, and they work as expected. Here are my thoughts: I read and followed the instructions without deviation and there were no surprises. I recommend you do the same. The plugs are noticeably larger in size than the originals, but smaller and lighter than the cylindrical models. As such they will (perhaps just barely) fit side by side on most standard power strips. There is no separate, independent clamp on these connectors. The strain relief is provided when the main assembly screw is tightened. The end result appears to be sturdier than the molded plug it replaces and lighter than the industrial grade cylindrical plug assemblies. I'll have more detail after a few road trips. Quick update: everything is working fine after a few setups and breakdowns. Fifth star still contingent on longer-term performance.

Definitely not heavy duty but perfect I would say for light duty use. Ease of use I would say is directly proportional to your own common sense. Great product for the price

My Avalon water dispenser’s grounding prong broke off. This was a cheap and simple replacement plug. The plug is slightly larger than the original one, but not too big that it takes up too much space on the outlet.

A reasonable design. Looks good and works well. About the same size as a molded plug.

Was vacuuming one day when the vacuum lost power. Noticed a burning smell and saw that the plug was smoking at the outlet. Power light on the vacuum was lit, but it would turn on. Had no clue what was up, but figured the vacuum was junk. Set it aside intending to later buy and install a new cord (which would have been pain the arse), and hadn't touched it for a few months. Then I came across this Leviton 3W101-E 2-Pole, 3 Wire Grounding Plug and placed my order. Fairly simple installation by cutting the plug off the cord, stripping a bit of the wires to expose the copper, and then attach and secure to the new plug. Vacuum is back up and operational! Very pleased overall. The Leviton plug is a big bulky for my liking, and doesn't have a tab to secure to the power cord when not in use, but not a big deal. Saved me from the more expensive fix and hassle of buying and installing a new cord, and the even more expensive option of going out and buying a new vacuum. So the pro tip of the day is: always start with the easiest option first.

What I used it for: Contactor cut my TV cable that was hidden behind the drywall. which had the plug on it. I opened the sheathing of the TV wire and connected this new plug. TV works perfectly. Like: Very easy to install, anyone can do this type of repair.
