Read this before listening to the bad reviews (LOVE this chair so much)
Okay, I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this chair and it was such an incredibly difficult decision to make given all of the bad reviews so I want to address the pros & cons people have been posting in hopes of helping you reach a decision faster. So here it goes.- "easy to assemble" Yes, it was easy to assemble. I do not assemble things. I do not have much experience assembling anything and even I could figure it out. So if you aren't savvy like me, you'll be fine. It took me about 1 hour to assemble with no help in a small room with crummy lighting. If this sort of thing comes naturally to you then you'll have it done much quicker. The instructions are pretty clear and it was not frustrating like I thought it would be. 5/5 easy to assemble.- "Poor Quality" I'm surprised I saw so many of these comments? I've owned about maybe 3-4 gaming chairs now (including this one) and this one is by far the best quality. I mean, if you're looking for top notch the best in the biz something that will last +15 years then maybe you're looking for a $500+ chair. I plan to upgrade myself with a $500-$1,000 chair in the future but for the price I paid for this one? Oh my gosh. It's great. I don't need it to last forever because that's not what I'm paying for. 5/5 quality. Please note I just bought this chair about 3 weeks ago so it hasn't experienced it's normal wear and tear yet.- "a loud clunking noise when you lower the handle for the foot rest" For real? Lol Yes it does make a noise but it's really not loud and definitely not a dealbreaker. I would have missed out on a great chair if I didn't buy it for only that reason. 4/5 noise level I guess?- "uncomfortable" WHAT EVEN. I don't understand! I'm so comfortable! I work 10 hour days 5 days a week and have owned it for 3 weeks now. I am so comfortable it's ridiculous. My back pain is gone and I'm just overall satisfied with this chair. This is so bizarre to me because other people claim that regular gaming chairs (such as the last one I bought, KILLABEE Massage Gaming Chair) are more comfortable. Whaaaatttt. Gaming chairs like that don't even compare to this one. In my personal opinion, it's: regular office chair -> Killabee -> Respawn -> $500+ chairs or something in that order.- "not suitable for tall people" CORRECT. Yes, true. Okay, so here's a very important con: this chair is reallyyyy not suitable for tall people. I am 5'0. In other words, I'm really frikin short. The arm rest cup holder BARELY aligns with me. It's almost just perfect for someone my size. It's only a little bit off. And the neck support is, again, only a little bit off. I have to realign it every time I lay down but it's no biggie. HOWEVER, for everyone else who is taller than me (which is most people) I can definitely see why you would be uncomfortable in this chair. The headrest pillow isn't designed to move very far from its initial place so tall people can't adjust it to what would be comfortable for them (although you can remove the headrest altogether, so keep that in mind).- "back pain" As you can see from the picture I bought a lumbar support pillow and that did the trick. No back pain at all and I was having MAJOR back pain issues with my last chair. I also bought a seat cushion which helps out tremendously.- "the material will cause you to sweat" Yes. It does get hot, which is why I have a fan pointed at my face throughout the day. I was already doing this before I got the chair so it just became a habit but it seems to do the trick.- "no height adjustment" Correct. There is no height adjustment for the chair. This does not bother me. If it bothers you then you may want to look elsewhere.- "awful, not worth the money. I found holes" Honestly, I have no explanation for this. That's unfortunate. Maybe they got sent one that's broken? Mine came in with all of it's pieces and nothing is torn or broken.Overall I really love this chair. The best gaming chair I've ever owned. I do not use it for gaming. I use it for work since I work from home and I work 10 hour shifts so I do spend a large amount of the day in the chair and I feel perfectly splendid at the end of the day. If you are picky when it comes to gaming chairs and you need to be able to adjust the height, you need outstanding quality, you need it to be adjustable for a tall person then oh my gosh DON'T BUY THIS. You will hate it. If the cons I mentioned don't really bother you or if you are a woman/man of my stature (5'0, 140lbs) and are looking for a comfy chair that is worth the price THEN BUY THIS. It's perfect for you! I am so happy with this chair and if you are thinking it's too pricey. Nah, bro. Just do yourself a favor and buy it.Anyways, thanks for reading my essay. Have a good day!

It's a 5-Star Perfomer For a Particular Niche
Overall Grade: 5 Stars for its particular purposeQuick Pros: High comfort, arms can sprawl, convenience features, and solid recline. Excellent instructions and easy assembly.Quick Neutrals: Not a desk chair; this is not a negative, it was never intended for that purpose.Quick Cons: Very size dependent; amazing if you're an "average" North American but if you're shorter or taller there could be better options.Detailed Review: If you're looking for a gaming chair, you've probably come across a tonne of OEM no-name options selling the same stuff, and this Respawn 900 caught your eye while doom scrolling the never-ending possibilities and you went "what is that?" Well, that's what happened to me too. If you're caught in an endless loop of evaluating between splurging on a streamer-calibre name like Secret Lab/Corsair or the budget "generic Amazon brand" options Respawn occupies a nice middle ground.First off, this is not an office chair. Most gaming chairs pull double duty and this one is decidedly designed different (although, Respawn also makes the 110 model which IS in that class). This chair is not meant to be rolled around the office, it is stationary; it is designed to be plunked down in front of a TV in a gamer den/living room. That's not a negative; it shows some real design chops by Respawn for doing so and it actually leads to many of the chair's strengths. The reason I made the comparison to OEM models above is because the Respawn stands out only after it arrives. The instructions are your first clue: a large laminated guide with clear illustrations and genuinely well-written English. Even small details—like recommending a socket wrench for one step—show that someone actually thought about the assembly experience. The chair itself is incredibly sturdy. Keep in mind, I am an completely average male at 5'9, 180lbs. I settle into the chair comfortably, but by my estimate if you are over 6'2 or under 5'4, the chair may be less accommodating. It also sits incredibly low compared to others; you have to descend into it and the experience is very different. You have to learn to trust it. Like I said, it's not an office chair, there is no gas-powered height adjustment to ease ingress/egress.The stitching on the chair is high quality, as well as the accent piping. Even the cupholder's facade is properly sealed against the faux leather. Production quality is apparent. One of my favourite things compared to an office-style gaming chair are the armrests. They are meant to allow your arms to sprawl out wide, not keep you constrained in a typing stance. Your wingspan can truly spread out wide here and it's glorious, especially when reclined. This is closer to a Lay-Z-Boy than a Secret Labs.Overall, this chair is perfect if your use case is its particular niche. It's the kind of chair I'd recommend to someone who I know spends time with a console in front of a TV or is just looking for gamer-styled furniture in a living room; it would be a surprisingly strong contender if you wanted a full-on recliner but don't want to spend that much money at a real furniture store. If you want a gaming chair that pulls double duty as a production space, this is likely not your best bet, but it absolutely nails its designed purpose.

Best choice for this type of chair hands down!
I love it. I was nervous ordering it because I ordered a depointer chair (left in photo). I originally liked it, but the welding in the base gave and so they had to send me a new one. The new depointer chair sent was wobbly and crooked :( so I lost all trust with that company and decided to take a risk with a similar chair but different brand. IMMEDIATELY I noticed the difference. Respawn assembly was easier with better directions, the chair is soooooooo much more comfortable and soft. It's also larger (I am 6"2) so the recliner hits my ankles not mid calf like the depointer chair. My head also rests against the pillow comfortably in my respawn chair. The welding is much more reinforced and all in all, I am so happy with my respawn 900. Plus the company has great policies so you do not have to worry about the hassle I had to endure through depointer (they would not refund me even though the chair gave after only 7 months) there are a few similar models of this chair, so I hope people see this first, because Respawn is not only much higher quality for same price, but they actually care about their products quality and customer experience. I mean even the box it came in was super cool! Thanks Respawn!

Red/black recliner (Respawn 900) is a great chair with only a few cons
Our chair arrived one day prior to the estimated delivery date—a welcomed surprise. The chair is striking and looks exactly as pictured (red/black recliner). It feels and looks like leather but has a chemical smell. Which leads me to believe it’s pleather instead of leather. It smells like a new car but a bit more chemical-ly if that makes sense. My fiancé doesn’t mind the smell but I have a sensitive nose compared to his. It’s not overpowering and I suspect the smell will dissipate in a few weeks. The handles work smoothly and are not difficult at all. Some folks complained that they heard squeaking or the handles took muscle to operate. That’s not the case with ours. When we assembled the chair we made sure the screws were tightened well but not “so tight using all the strength we have” or we heard it would cause squeaking. The chair swivels and reclines. It does not rock. The foot rest is a nice feature when you just want to lay back and watch some tv. The head pillow does require adjustment for people 5’9 or above. My fiancé is 5’9 so when he sits in the chair he simply lifts it up higher. I’m 5’2 and it automatically sits perfectly at the base of my neck when I sit back. His feet do hang over a bit (a good foot) when the foot rest is extended but it’s still comfortable for him.The side pocket is a nice feature but it’s velcro’d under the armrest. It’ll hold your tv remote and maybe a few other small items but if the bag gets too heavy the velcro starts to detach. I would’ve preferred metal button attachments to secure the bag.The drink holder is a good average size. Fits a beer bottle/soda can/drinking glass with no problem. The bucket seat is on the cozier side. I weigh 135 lbs and the chair leaves about 4“ gaps on both sides. It makes me feel safe and secure in the chair, as it feels like a comfortable fit. My fiancé is about 190 lbs/medium build and the chair fits him cozier, leaving about 1-2” gaps on both sides. The chair looks like it was custom tailored to his width. My fiancé does sweat a bit when he games and since leather or pleather does not breathe, the chair gets warm or wet from the sweat. It doesn’t bother him because he used to sweat on the last chair he had. It hasn’t bothered him enough to lay down a towel or anything yet but we do gently wipe the chair down to remove the sweat.Overall, the chair is comfortable for gaming, reading, or watching TV. I wish they added a lumbar pillow for lower back support but that’s an easy fix with putting a small pillow back there. It’s a great chair and we’re very happy with the purchase. My fiancé really likes it. I’ll give an update in 6 mos. or so on how it’s doing & wear/tear. But so far, we highly recommend it.

Awesome for TV gaming
I got one for my husband and loved it so much that I got a second one. Definitely not the best for desk gaming (I have to use a lap table for keyboard) but very comfy.
