What size recommended for men 5'10 230?

I would recommend a large, however I returned this jacket because I found it's proportions somewhat bizarre. I am a fan of Cole Haan jackets but this one is a complete miss. It is very narrow in the chest and arms but extremely wide around the waist. The sizing is ridiculous. I would not recommend anyone purchase this item.
