ADDED REVIEW After reading some of the reviews concerning the subject of Erythritol being added to Garden of Life Grass Fed Whey powder I decided to do some online research concerning this matter. Since I'm not a doctor I can only give my opinion on this subject. Here is a brief review of what I have uncovered. Erythritol is popular sugar alcohol sweetener as is also Xylitol. The upside of these two sweeteners is that they contain almost no calories. The downsides seem to range from mild to extremely dangerous according to some unsubstantiated reports. There was a study done on Erythritol in particular that "showed" that this alcohol sugar could potentially cause blood clotting, strokes and even heart attacks. However, having looked at all sides of this issue I have concluded that this study was extremely flawed. Doctor Eric Berg has stated that there are no negative side effects of Erythritol whatsoever when consumed in moderate quantities and I highly respect his evaluation. As for now I'm staying with Garden of Life Grass Fed Whey and consider it safe to consume. If, however, I have reason to believe otherwise in the future I will switch to another whey product. As far as changes in the quality of this product compared to the old formula I have no opinion since I have only experienced the newer version. Each person must do their own individual research and arrive at their own conclusions. But, as for me, I really like this product for both its nutritional value and its taste and I plan to stay with it.

I've been on a search for the best protein powder and it's been a difficult journey with how many are out there. However, I must say, this is one of my top 5 so far. Highlights: - NSF certified - Protein content (4/5) - 24g is lower than many on the market for 1 scoop - Texture (5/5) - better than most others and seems to mix well - Taste (5/5) - one of the better ones I've tasted; genuinely tastes like chocolate milk - Pricepoint (5/5) - definitely one of the more affordable options that is NSF certified Lowlights: - I still prefer a protein powder to have no natural or artificial sweeteners and this still misses the mark; but if you're okay with stevia, I think this is a great protein powder. For me, I want something with only sugar. - Lower protein content than most at 24g; most others seem to be 28g + Overall, I'm happy with the protein powder. It tastes great, has good texture, is affordable, and is NSF certified.

First off, Garden of Life, please be the first company that actually uses containers that are right sized for the product, I’m sick of the stupidity of large containers that are half filled. Are we consumers that stupid we can’t read the contents? You waste plastic and destroy the environment. I’m sure consumers will actually appreciate it going forward! Takes up less space in the pantry, shows respect for the consumer and the environment. As for the product, it tastes fine, it’s has a bit of gummy texture, doesn’t mix well with water, better with milk it seems. I do value your brand though and the quality inputs and that’s most important. Just please right size the container.

I have been using Garden of Life products for a while now and cannot say enough good things about them. This product mixes well with a simple blender bottle or with a nutri-bullet (with added fruits). It helps me get the protein that I cannot possibly consume from my everyday diet. The ingredients have not bothered my stomach (I have a very sensitive system) at all. The NO SOY ingredient is what drew me to the product in the first place. The only down side that I can find is that it has STEVIA extract (not bad but not the greatest for you either). It is added for sweetness and to keep the calories low. I'd rather have a higher caloric intake with natural sugar as an additive. Otherwise, a very good choice.

The Chocolate Powder I must say was very sweet and delicious. However, and it's totally my fault for not making sure, that this product has Stevia sweetener in it. I was researching and found the actual website for Garden of Life and thought it said on their page there was no sugar in their product (which made me think no sweetness at all. Yes it has no real sugar but an artificial sweetness). I purchased this from Amazon and as I like to add my natural honey to sweeten my drinks, you can imagine my surprise of my chocolate drink being too sweet. I knew there had to be sweetener in it. After reviewing more closely, I now see it does contain stevia which I did not want. But for those who like Stevia leaf sweetener or worry the powder will not be sweet, trust me, you'll love it then. I am just not a fan of stevia and therefore, this will be the last container I will get. Don't get me wrong, it will not go to waste. I will still use it due to not wanting to waste it and the price I spend on it. It did fill me up fast, but for now, I will instead look into the brand Naked Grass Fed Whey products as they have no sweeteners and you can either get unflavored or other flavors. This way I can use my honey again.

This is a good whey protein powder. It doesn't cause me abdominal pain as some other whey products do. However, the mix with water is objectionably sweet. The sugar substitutes are really sweet - for me it causes an awful after-taste. For most products, I always prefer sugar. But, I think this Garden of Life product is the best protein powder that I have tried.

I first bought the vanilla and pea protein back in 2015. Back then the vanilla was much better tasting and easy to mix. Since then I bought a version two years ago and I still enjoyed it. Slightly different than the original but I still like the flavor and the ingredients; great protein source, low cholesterol, ok fiber n low fat. Great for post workout and recovery and price for what it is during prime days. Stocked up on 2. Went through one and just recently considered a subscription but noticed the review on the change in formulation for the vanilla. More cholesterol, less fiber, more scoops to get less protein!!! They hadn’t changed the chocolate yet so ordered that instead. Just received it n it has a distinct after taste. I will now definitely be switching protein powders and looking for a better quality whey. Also, GoL website only sells through Amazon with this low quality reformulation. Don’t be fooled to buy direct from their website to get the old formulation. Same crap! So disappointed that the company sold out and has joined the many corporations selling lower quality products for more profit and charging the same price!! Buyer beware out there

Had to switch due to cost of Level's Chocolate Protein. I will definitely choose a different chocolate whey protein after trying this one again. The chocolate taste is not my favorite and I'm just going to muscle through this container and try out a different one. Cost is good but the taste is not for me. It doesn't mix as well but I also don't use the little metal ball in the mixers, never had to use it for Level's protein but each one is different.

Dissolve well... Taste is OK but not great

Have been using this for years, tastes terrific and very smooth. Garden of Life products are very healthy would highly recommend this product
