3/4" Compressor Air Intake Filter Silencer Housing Replacement Paper Element

This heavy duty air filter housing is constructed of enamel-coated steel and provides 2 openings to the interior, which contains a premium corrugated paper air filter. I adapted it to use on a Rolair air compressor, which required a 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch adapter and shortening the threaded bolt that snugs the cover to the base of the housing in order to squeeze it past the steel frame protecting the compressor. It's overkill, I'm sure, but it's so much better than the small and restrictive stock filter and this one will probably never need replacement. However, I really do not appreciate any reduction of the compressor noise or change in its tone.

It is a nice made air filter case with a nice filter included. But it is not as described in the listing for the product. It is a 15/16th threaded shaft not a 3/4 inch. The original 3/4" filter mount fits inside it. See pictures included.

Filter/silencer works great and dropped the decibel level of my compressor 5-6db according to the db meter app on my phone. There was a definite drop in the higher pitched sound the pump made, and as a bonus this is a much higher quality filter than was on the compressor.

They fit just right

This was a nice filter and very large. Sadly, it was not any quieter than other, cheaper filters. Ultimately, I went with a carburetor style filter so I could connect an intake hose to provide some noise reduction.
