I work within a company that has a dozen or so of the T&B ty-rap guns, I compared this to them and they are identical with the exception of the little orange sticker on the T&Bs. There is even the recessed portion where the sticker would be applied. I'm assuming they're all made by the same company it's just some are licensed by T&B and these are not. As for longevity and quality of the cutter I can't say until I use it for a couple years, but first impressions are that they're the same. Shipping was slow but upon inquiry the seller refunded my shipping cost.

Note: it appears the seller has changed out what product they're selling as many of the reviews and seller q&a seem to be about a gun for plastic cable ties. I'm reviewing the $50 tool for stainless steel cable ties. The tool works, that is - it pulls stainless cable ties tight and then cuts them. You can control how tight with a little tension adjustment on the handle. It is hard to keep the cable tie inside the tool when you've got to pull it a good ways. A little flap would have been nice. I think I'll put a clamp of some sort on mine to keep the cable ties lined up in the tool. The only serious problem with this thing is that the cut ends of the cable tie are razor sharp. I was planning to use this for attaching some tiki torches to a metal fence near my pool. It's not suitable for that purpose because I'd effectively be creating a razor wire fence.
