Astro Tools 78585 Universal Radiator Pressure Tester & Vacuum Type Cooling System Kit

Really solid master set. I used this to change the coolant in my CRV and GMC Sierra 1500 [had to buy a separate adaptor for the Sierra] and it worked great. I have a small Milwaukee battery powered compressor and it worked great with that set up. The seal was good and the refilling worked great - just need to keep an eye on the new fluid level to ensure the hose remains fully submerged (the hose had a hard bend from being looped during shipping). No frills, just works.

Love this set. I mostly use the vacuum fill tool and it just works, no headaches. My only critique is I wish the gauge had in/hg. I'm just more familiar with that scale.

GOOD PRICE AND QUALITY PRODUCT

The vacuum/refill device works great! After using this I will never go back to the old burping/reving/hose squeezing bleeding method. The vacuum method is so much easier and I’ve never had any problems with air left in the system. One tip… when drawing a vacuum, slowly crack the supply valve to prefill the supply line with fresh coolant… this prevents adding a tube full of air back to the system. The internal check valve leaks on the pressure tester. With nothing connected it would loose roughly 1psi per minute. I was able to find a different o-ring in my stash and now it holds pressure much better… it now only looses less than 1 psi per hour… not ideal but much better. This would easily be a 5 star rating if the common GM adapter was included, and if the pressure tester didn’t leak and require a user fix to make it perform acceptably.

Bought this for professional automobile repair shop works great only used it twice, but it still good quality and will have it for years to come

I own a repair shop and we have been searching for a good pressure testing kit for a long time. We have tried out several different brands over the years and never had much luck. They were either hard to use, didn't work well or didn't have the adapter we needed. So far this kit has been excellent. We bought the few extra adapters that don't come in the kit. So far we have used it on multiple years and models of Jaguar, Land Rover, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW, MINI, Lexus, Acura, Bentley, Volvo, and Porsche. Has worked perfect everytime. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I decided to replace my 15 year old pressure tester with this kit to make life easier and to cover any model I see. So far I've had great results using the pressure tester since it is much easier and faster to grab and check cars as a precaution for the customer after requested repairs are completed. So far it has found several needed repairs that have gone un noticed due to the tiny leaks that are covered up by oil change services who replenish the fluids and say nothing to the customer. I gave 3 stars because the vacuum leak and fill tool will pull a vacuum but it will not refill the system, it has a defect that blocks the coolant internally. The other complaint is the adapters need to be individually labeled so at a glance one can see what make/model it is made to fit instead of having to look them up in the tissue paper booklet with dirty wet hands.

I didnt use it already but im excited to use it in future. I check the quality is nice..

I am happy with Astro pneumatic pressure tester. It meets all my needs. I own an auto repair shop. This tool is awesome. I have used it to both pressure test and refill cooling systems. I am impressed with the quality

Super good quality for sure, not cheaply made, it’s a bit expensive, but you got what you pay for. I haven’t got chance to use it yet, will update how it goes.
