Value for money!
Purchased this scope in January 2022 and did not mount it due to an injury I received in an accident. So step forward to 2023, mounted it on a Savage .338 Lapua Magnum.Found the mechanical zero, then adjusted the elevation to compensate for a 20 MOA scope base.Performed the bore sight, and took it to the range. Best to zero it at 100 yards or further depending on your application.Love the scope, it is robust enough to handle the recoil of the .338 Lapua Magnum .The quality of the optic is far better than I expected. This is not a $3000.00 Vortex or Leopold. But it does not matter. I can see what I need to see with minimum distortion etc. It tracks OK, and maintain its zero. No problems!I just wished it was 1/8 reticle. I shoot long distance and 1/4 sometimes can't get me quite on the zero. Not that it matters as I still get sub-moa groupings @ 800 yards.I don't compete in professional competitivo sport, but a Zombie and a paper target is not safe.Your milage may vary, but I am more than pleased.

Price
This is not a fancy Ziese, but it does the job. IT will see further than you can shot and is way more accurate than I could every hold or get the gun to be. Looks good and is First Focal Plane has a great rang of magnification. Put it on a 6.5 match AR-10, no complaints holes in holes at 100 yards off a bench.

Inconsistent and turrets suck
I bought one of these for my dad for Christmas and I liked it so much I bought one for myself. Maybe I got a bad one but the reticle is badly etched, using the light at higher magnifications blurs the entire image, the parallax ranging is way off, and there are floating “dots” when using the light.Edit: I returned the first scope and received a second as a replacement. this scope, the glass is nice and there are no “floaters”, however this one the turrets will spin and the reticle will move only for about 1 rotation, anything after that the reticle won’t move. Also, it’s like the reticle was placed WAY too high. Even at full adjustments, the rifle will still shoot 4 feet low at 10 yards. I’m contacting support now and will change my review based on how this is handled.Edit 2: received a 3rd scope with more issues. Windage turret only adjust halfway beofre the reticle stop adjusting and the magnification level is so stiff I had to put the scope in a vice just to turn it. I contacted Monstrum about this and they offered me a different scope or a refund and they gave me a full refund with no hassle. Terrible scope, great company service.

Wow I'm amazed.
I love this scope. It looks amazing on my 300blk. The zoom on this thing is ferocious. Thats the best way I can describe it. I had it set up at the range and the guys were like "Wow!! What a scope"! I do recommend a 20moa mount for it tho. That's is my only gripe about it. This scope is amazing.

Not bad but has much too heavy a reticle.
I'm not sure who but a target or ELR shooter would be using a 36 power scope. I ordered this for 50yd and 100yd target shooting. Overall its a pretty nice scope with some nice features. However for what I do I can't get past the reticle, which looks much thicker in person than in the ad pictures. It looks great until you zoom it past 12x. At 36X it looks like it was painted with a 6" brush, much too thick and heavy, covers up too much target to be precise. If they fixed that this would be a really great scope!Edit:I took this to the range the next day, didn't mount it, just sized it up against a 100yd sighting target (the red & white ones with the grid pattern). At 100 yds the center dot covers the entire 1" square bullseye, just as I thought it would. The glass is mediocre compared to the Sniper ZT5-27x50mm and especially the Athlon Argos BTR Gen2 10-40x56mm, and the Athlon glass would only be a 5 out of 10. But for target shooting in broad daylight, honestly any of these would be fine. The Monstrum and Sniper ZT are the exact same price, the Athlon is another $50. The actual image through the scope is always quite a bit better than I can photograph with a cellphone camera (taking pictures through a scope is an exercise in frustration). That milkiness at full zoom is fairly common in this price range.

👍👍 That's what!
Better than the current US Army issued Marksman scope. As a former active duty Army combat veteran, who was a designated Marksman to counter snipers in Diyala Province Iraq during the Surge of 2007, I hope my endorsement speaks for itself.

Terrible eye box
Look the scope works. But the eye box is terrible. It is very very tight. If your gonna spend this much money. Buy a Athlon for a little more. The reticle is better. And has a better eye box. The glass is brighter.
