I got this for my husband who is an avid golfer. Wasn't quite sure what exactly this was but he explained it was a way for him to practice without having to go to the range all the time. He uses this on the driveway, garage (we don't have a yard). It goes without a doubt, that this golf training mat is recommended.His pros and cons are below.Pros:- Sturdy and durable, won't move when you hit the mat- The swing path feedback works as advertised. All it takes is a swipe to the opposite direction to reset the mat. It's really helped me see where the bottom of my swing is occurring and helping me intentionally shift my weight forward in the downswing so that I can have that divot after the ball position.Cons:- When I opened the package, the smell was quite strong.

It shows the swing path but the markings get scraped off easily. It is still an effective way to work on swing pattern

The product started to come apart after the first swing. The white markings went first then the mat tore after the second time using it. I like it while it lasted the two days but returned immediately. Great concept but terrible durability.

Don't like the durability

The media could not be loaded. This is a very low-cost alternative to a launch monitor. Used correctly, it provides some helpful feedback to groove a swing. Here are the PROs and CONs I noted while testing this training aid:PRO:1. Easily portable.2. Heavy enough to remain in place during use.3. Provides instant feedback about swingpath and clubhead impact. (See video for what that looks like.)4. Very affordable.5. Can be used on the driving range, backyard, garage, or with a golf simulator.6. The foam posts and velcro hold up under repeated club strikes.6. Easy for an experienced instructor to figure out how to use it, despite very inadequate instructions that come with it.CON:1. It emits a foul odor, like a over-filled ashtray, and it doesn't go away even after a month. (Not as noticeable when in use outside, but inside the car or house, yuck!)2. Has to be on a perfectly flat surface, or the golf ball rolls off.3. There should be a full set of instructions packed with the mat, as unless you're familiar with similar training aids, it's not intuitively easy to figure out the meaning of the feedback.4. As the instruction sheet warns, this product isn't designed for heavy use as a hitting mat. Use it enough to build some initial muscle memory, then continue to groove that swing on the regular grass or driving range mat.BOTTOM LINE: If you're looking for a training aid that will help fix common swing glitches, or groove a draw or fade ball flight, this is a good low-cost option.

White markings rubbed off (not fatal) but the turf has worn through after fewer than 200 shots. Not what I would expected...

Swing path and ball strike... much better than I thought. Using it inside for partial swings at the moment
