This is not your old style crockpot! This is SO lightweight, very easy to clean, and cooks really well. Yesterday I made bbq with a huge piece of chuck roast, washed it out quickly and set some chicken bones to simmer ALL night, just strained it, added chicken and veggies and set to low and we will have amazing soup for dinner. I love that you can use the inner crock on the stove top to brown and then put it right into the cooker. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Love, love, love this crockpot! I bought one for my sister and have been jealous of it for a few years. My old heavy crock pot finally broke so I finally bought this one. It is so light and easy to wash because it is not heavy ceramic. Also like that can put it on the stove to brown meat or put in the oven to warm leftovers faster. Just don’t put the lid in the oven or the handle will melt, just ask my sister.

I like this slow cooker but have to admit I was surprised by the "crock". Yes, I read that you can put the crock on a stovetop to sear food prior to slow cooking or even put it in a hot oven but, frankly, the product description didn't make it clear to me that the "crock" was metal instead of a heavyweight ceramic as is the historical norm. Since I likely will not sear food, I wondered would the lightweight metal crock cook the same as my old ceramic crock? To find out I cooked a large chuck roast as I usually do, on slow for 6-8 hours. Here are my results: • Heat-up time: Metal crock with food heated up much faster. • Cook time on low: Faster cook time. About 25% faster. • Reached safe eating temperature faster. • Final result was beef that browned and got tender as usual. Just faster. I still used a disposable slow cooker liner even though the metal crock is non-stick coated. I like the automatic “go to warm” feature after your set cycle time completes. Metal crock is light weight which may be good for some people. Simple controls are adequate for most needs without undue complexity. If you need a timed start look elsewhere.

Awesome, You can brown meat in the same pan. It can go from fridge to oven. And very easy to clean.
