I have a large box of AC adapters from various recycled devices over the years. I needed a 5V adapter and while I had several, none had a connector that matched my device. I have a 10 year old photo frame (a fairly nice one) and it stopped working a few days ago. I was about to replace the frame, but did a quick multimeter test and found that the 5V adapter was only providing 4.5V. I took a chance on this very versatile solution. I didn't even need an adapter, it immediately connected, I set it to 5V, and the presumed dead photo frame came right back up.I'm going to get another one of these, very handy when you can't immediately locate the AC adapter you placed on a shelf 6 months ago. This is the second "old" AC adapter I've had go bad in the past year, this definitely makes for an excellent solution. If you have a "dead device", run a check on the adapter, that may be the root cause of your issue.On the product. It feels well made. When you select the desired voltage, you can feel it "lock in". I was concerned it wouldn't do that, that was not the case.Very happy with this product, better than trying to find a 5V adapter with a specific connector (especially if it turned out that wasn't the issue). Even if the frame fails at a later date, this is something I will be able to continue to use.

Works as advertised. But check the voltage you need to deliver, it’s possible to damage what you wanted to power, not that I did.

I purchased this multi-voltage adapter for my game camera that requires 6 volts dc which is one of the output voltages for the adapter. Fortunately, I can locate the game camera within the distance of a 100 foot extension cord which allows me to use the adapter. This is important because my game camera does not use rechargeable batteries and eats regular batteries so the adapter will pay for itself in a short time. It's simple to use and has tremendous flexibility for low voltage dc items. Even though it's not made for outdoor use, I place it in a Ziplock bag and poke holes in the bottom to keep it dry. I actually make the connection to the extension cord in the same bag and make sure that water cannot cause a short circuit. I suppose that AA rechargeable batteries would work as well but using the adapter is much easier once setup. I also plan to use one for a 120v to 12v dc power supply to a camera that will monitor the propane level in my outdoor propane tank as well as for the 12v dc monitor connected to the propane tank camera data feed. If you look around your house for low voltage dc items that use batteries, look on the device or in the user's manual to see if it will accept a feed from the adapter as it is a big cost saver. The output of the adapter has around (8) additional adapters that can be switched out in order to match up with the device that accepts a direct dc feed rather than spend a large amount of money on batteries.

DON'T USE WITH SENSITIVE ELECTRONICS!3V voltage swings of noise and ripple that seems to scale a little depending on which voltage state you select. On the 9V selection... a 3V ripple noise is 1/3 of the output voltage... like come on, ever heard of filtering??For now i'm back to using my B&K benchtop power supply and 9V batteries which going into the same wiring has no noise passing to my electronics. I designed my board for dealing with about -500mV ripple (-0.7V nominal due to the diode) and much more positive ripple since the positive side goes through a secondary 5V voltage regulator for the controls side... That is considerably much more ripple than you generally see on any even half decent power supply. Filtering calculations are not hard guys.I attached a photo of the output as taken by a nice oscilloscope I own. Note that the voltage per division is 5V. the noise you can see covers across most of a single square. The noise can be estimated as about a 3V ripple and is eliminated when connecting the ground of the soulbay to the ground of my benchtop power supply.I had actually been inspired to buy this because a coworker at my Electrical engineering internship had bought a previous version of the soulbay for our work to use and it seemed to be very economic. I liked the newer design having extra attachments but after finding out there was over 3V of AC noise on this new one, I tested the one that was purchased for work and it also has the same issue.Another poster also mentioned radio interference/EMI issues and as it seems this is simply a huge design flaw for this brand of power supply. This amount of noise is exactly why that poster would have seen the interference.

For a short while I used this on a monitor that I had found, but at some point it just simply stopped working. The green light still comes on, but it doesn't seem to charge or power anything anymore

I ordered this to charge the light on my loupes (magnifying glasss for medical professionals).The replacement charger was very expensive so I thought I’d try this out and it works great. Had the right attachment for what I need it for. Had to adjust the voltage then it worked. Saved me at least $100 so I’m pleased!

Probably a great product however it did not work for my Bluetooth speaker but I have a feeling it's because the Bluetooth speaker is broken. Because it did work for two other products I have but I don't need a charger for them but it is a versatile product
